Looking to get my hands on an AICS Fixed stock for Savage SA/CF, .308 (.260).

Suggestions on where I might snag one? Gotta get my son's build done before he gets back home from college in two weeks or he's gonna kill me. He wants a thumbhole, and options with the DBM are limited.

    Mile High or EuroOptic.

Doesn't work with the bottom bolt release.

Another option is a Manners T5, which works just fine with top or bottom bolt release using factory DBM or CDI DBM.

Like boiler said try those 2 places. Got my 2.0 from EuroOptic. I dont think AICS Savage comes in fixed version. The new AT AICS does. Not sure whats the availability on those

Check Stocky's for T5/T5A in stock and ready to ship for Sav centerfeed short action/factory DBM.

I did...they only have the SA in blind mag...

Called Mile High, and she said let me check- might have one left.

The last SA, fixed AICS Savage in stock was promptly shipped hours later. Thumbs up to Mile High Shooting for excellent CS.

Sure made my son's day! Arrives next Thurs, just in time to get some loads worked up for OCW over the weekend.

My fear is that I'll like it so much, I'll want one for my Savage, though that'll have to wait $$...

The Savage AICS is only available in the folding 2.0 version. When I got mine, they were really hard to get your hands on. Dont know if that has improved any.

See above, wasn't the case with the fixed stock. Sure did get lucky on grabbing the last one.

I'm sure it's worth the coin, it's substantially more than the Manners T5, but hey- no need to install the pillars and epoxy bed the receiver. That's worth the $$ in terms of my time right now, can't keep up with customer orders as it is much less monkeying around with our own "stuff".

Will post some pics and a review of the stock with a range report once we get 'er done.

It's a SS Varmint action from NSS (with the usual precision lug and barrel nut) chambered in .260 Match.

I suspect that you wont be disappointed. Here is mine:

I hope it'll shoot as good as it looks.

Hope to get it together Sat. and maybe get some 140 Amax's with IMR 4350 (had to basically give up on Hodgdon, can't get it anymore!) loaded up for OCW on Sun.

I hear ya on the H4350. My supply is dwindling. I have IMR but despite what some would tell you, it is NOT the same thing. It is very temp sensitive.

Be sure and torque your action screws with a little loc tite. They worked loose on mine until I did.

This whole bag of shit sucks...finally get my 7-08 dialed in with 162 Amax's...Hornady ditches the boolits, and Hodgdon dries up.
Can't get the 123 Amax's for the Grendel...

Where would you suggest I start with the IMR- a few percent lighter on the load?

My IMR load for my rifle is 0.5 gr lighter (42.5) than my H load (43.0). It shoots almost as good in terms of accuracy and is safe at moderate temps. I havent shot it in summer temps but I suspect I will have to back off a bit. Just have to test and see.
