AICS specific question

Hey Guys,
I need your advice. Is the pistol grip on an AICS any longer than an L96?


I'm thinking about dropping my LTR into an AICS, and today I was fortunate enough to get behind an L96.

Note how its straight from the bottom of the pistol grip to the butt.

I found that the pistol grip was too short, my little finger was hanging off the bottom of the stock - and I don't have large hands. This really surprised me.
I found the reach to the trigger was OK, but I felt like my hand was sliding off the grip all the time.

Any advice on the grip length will be most welcome.

Was the L96 for sale by any chance ? Need one for the collection. Fired one as a young digger in the UK back in the early 1990's - started a life long AI bug.

It has been a few years since I handled an L96 - but the stock designs are a little different. Similar - but a little different.

I am sure that if you are near West Sussex that Graeme at Sporting Services would let you have a handle of the AICS.

The thumb hole is pretty fat, just my observation. However, if you have bigger hands, you'll be gtg.

My little finger is nowhere near falling off the end of my AICS. I don't have small hands. Come to think of it, I have never heard that complaint from anybody. I've never handled and L96

I handled an AICS today, and not only is the grip longer than the L96, its also more rounded. AICS for me!
