Does anyone know of any good options for an appendix-carry IWB holster for full-framed sig handguns (226/7/9)? I really like the G-Code/Haley Strategic Incog holster by G-Code but it seems like they only make them for every full sized pistol but Sig's (with the exception of their 1911s).

The thought of picking up a Glock or S&W M&P to use as a carry gun has crossed my mind, at least for the weight savings, but I can't bring myself to buy a Glock because I despise them and I haven't given the M&P a try yet. That would also open up my holster choices, but I really love my Sigs and I would prefer not to by a new pistol when I already have 3 Sigs to choose from and that I shoot well.

    Thanks dudes.

The INCOG holster is a nice design. However the clips are close together and I suspect that a heavy pistol would be better off with clips farther apart. I would look at the Minotaur MTAC and Crossbreed.

I carry a Sig SP2022 AIWB and it is only 3 ounces less than a 229 in weight. I carried it in a Desantis tuck-this II which is a similar design to the INCOG (lot less in price, also fits my G17) and it was annoying to be honest with you. The weight of the pistol and spare mag all concentrated on one belt clip was too much for me. Eventually I tried shedding the spare mag to save weight but still found it too uncomfortable. Also with one belt clip throughout the day the cant would shift making a draw less than ideal. After some research, I went with an Ozark Holster ( ozarksholstercompany.com ) and spare mag holster and it has been working great for me. The designs he has are extremely similar to Crossbreed but he includes the "combat cut" and horsehide as a standard, no extra fees like Crossbreed. For the holster and spare mag I paid less than half of what I would have paid for a similar Crossbreed holster with less features.

If it matters I am 6 foot and weigh 185 with an athletic build. I carry the gun at 1 O'clock and the spare mag at 1030, took some time to get the horsehide broke in but now it is comfy and with great weight distribution. I might shave off some of the spare horsehide around the bottom but it hasn't been too bad. Completely unrealted to your question but, I would like to thank fellow hide member "Unknown" for a generous gift of some gun belts making carrying a lot more comfortable for me lately. Hope this helps but I don't completely know what specifically you want out of your holster and for what pistol.

FWIW my cousin had a m & p .40cal and got rid of it for a glock 19 which he uses as his carry piece. I carry a glock 19, and 36 (I switch off) and use the galco king tuck for short periods of time 5 to 6 hour tops as I find the IWB rather uncomfortable. I bought a king tuck for my sig M11A1 (p228) but its to heavy and bulky for IWB carry in my opinion but the clips are spread further apart and similar to shape as the pic above. I switched to a desantis mini slide OWB for everyday all day carry and love it. The IWB holster is rather uncomfortable driving as I spend a fair amount of my day driving. I will get another desantis mini slide for the sig soon as I really like that one. I just adjusted my clothing, a flannel shirt covers really well. The 36 carries a lot better than the 19. they are only ounces apart and very close to size but the butt and mag are just a little bit bigger on the 19. I really love my sig and is my preferred choice but I choose to carry the glock as it is better suited to the task. Hope it helps.

If you go to Suarez's "One Source Tactical" he has a few of his own brand that are designed for A carry and fit the Sigs. Comp-Tac and Blade-Tech have models that work also. I personally don't A carry so I can't provide any feedback although I'm a fan of Comp-Tac holsters in general, as always............YMMV.

FWIW Mjolnir23 I would look at some other holsters designed to carry AIWB. Not trying to dog your holster but it is made to carry strong side 3-4 o'clock with the amount of cant built into it. If you look at AIWB holsters they are made to have zero cant so the draw is straight up. Your hand can easily grab things horizontal with your belt line in front of the hip but the 10-15 degrees of cant in your holster make you flare your elbow up and out to get a solid grip on your gun.
