I am thinking about buying something in 7.62X39. Oh course, my first thought was to get an AK. Then I started looking into the most accurate AKs, the highest quality, price, etc. I like the Arsenal with the ambi safety, but I find it hard to pay $2000 dollars for an AK. My brother in law has an AK that he paid $500 for. I believe it is a Century. Anyways, He has upgraded to the newest model of the 556R. He claims it is just as reliable and way more accurate.
Give some advice on an AK vs the 556R. If I go AK, I want it to be accurate. 1.5-1 MOA is fine. From the reviews I see, this is very obtainable with newer, American made Aks.
I have strictly been an AR guy until now. 10.5" Custom Seekins SBR in 5.56 and .308 Sig 716. I will be dressing my AK up and swapping the upper receiver for a railed one. Hince, should I just get a 556R?
