Dear Sniper'sHide members,
After contacting Mr Galli for his (much appreciated) permission, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Hamilton, and I work for Leica Sport Optics. I am not here to sell anything, just to support those who own or are considering owning our products. If you have any Leica-related questions, needs, or concerns, please feel free to contact me via personal message. There is only one of me, and I wear a lot of hats for Leica, but I'll do my best to respond to you in a timely manner. IF you don't hear from me in a day or two (weekends not included), please contact me again, because I probably haven't gotten your message. This is a very interesting forum, and I look forward to learning from you!

Re: All things Leica

Welcome AHB. Good to know. I've been using a set of 10x42BN Trinovid's for several years now and they are as awesome as the day I made the purchase. Incredible glass.....worth every penny. SR

Re: All things Leica

Wish I knew someone with a CRF 1600, I really want one but would like to try one out first. What sucks, you don't find much info on the web about them.

Re: All things Leica

Thanks for keeping an eye out for us Leica owners. I personally have 3 Leica products and have been more than happy with them. I hope to never need your services;)

Got the same glass and a 1200 CRF. Both are awesome after several years of abuse. Thanks for being on here.

Re: All things Leica

Trust me guys, none of you is "a little person" to us! Many of you use your equipment to a further extent than 90% of the optics owners out there. Thanks for the positive response/welcome. I am here to help, so keep the questions coming!

Re: All things Leica

Good to know and thanks for joining.

I got my hands on my first piece of Leica gear only a few days ago. Got a LRF 1200 from a member here and I really like it. It sure will be nice to not struggle to range deer, hogs and other game/steel targets out to and beyond 500 yards. It's nice to finally have a rangefinder with a red led readout unlike what I have had in the past. Low light ranging will be simple now.

Re: All things Leica

Thanks for coming onboard! The only Leica item I have in my kit is a pair of compact binoculars. But they are superlative.

That said, I've been using Leica M cameras since I was in high school and spent all summer working to buy my first M body and lens. I still have it along with an M8 and a Leica lens in virtually every class.

Never used Leica scopes, but if they are like your cameras and binos...

Welcome aboard. There are a lot of very knowledgable, outspoken and educated LE, military and civilian precision shooters here. The fact that you are here to listen to them speaks volumes about your commitment to the community.

Cheers,

Sirhr

Re: All things Leica

I had a leica 1200 CRF and was having some problems with it. I called you guys and they told me to send it in. I sent it in and i had a new 1600 CRF free of charge on the way in a few days it all took less than a week. Great products and outstanding customer support.

PS: the 1600 CRF works great i couldnt be happier.

Re: All things Leica

Welcome Hamilton.
Shelling out over $1500 for a set of 10X42 Geovids (Sept 05) was tough, but I have never regretted it for a moment.
Thank you and your company for a superior product.

I think I've been sold on the 1600 I've been thinking about.... it's nice to hear stuff like this!

Re: All things Leica

I have a Leica, Viper II, Laser range finder. Being retired military I know the average guy can't get even close to the ranges this thing will provide. On a good clear day I can get 4 to 6K readings. When if ever is Leica going to provide to the general public a range finder that will reach 2K plus?

Maybe that should be your signature, lol.

Welcome, Hamilton.
