It wasn’t my opinion, it was fact based on the DoD and OSHA numbers.
Now how much of the quite large gap between the higher death rates in roofing (or other 6 industries more dangerous than the mil) vs the military would close if we included E1-2, I don’t know.
I bet less than 5% of dead roofers could have passed a drug test.
So now we are supposed to be proud of drug addicts who's job is dangerous because they are far more likely to be convicted felons, drug users and high school drop outs with the inability to use safety equipment. I'm with you. I had about a half dozen ribbons earned but not awarded because of lazy awards and decs office. And then the douche snco in charge of the office had the audacity to call me out on my armed forces ribbon in front of the squadron. Also in front of the squadron the flight chief stepped forward to set him straight. (Ribbon earned in previous squadron on top secret mission - where I met some dude that goes by LAV back in the 90's)

I did not claim roofers are on drugs. Having hired roofers dozens of times, I know for an absolute certainty that 90% of roofers cannot pass a fucking drug test or get a TWIC card. Both are required for some jobs and every time this requirement pops up, the number of bidders drops alarmingly.
