Re: Alpha MAgs

I spoke with Chris on the phone yesterday morning and he stated he just picked up some mags and was filling back orders. I ordered a Type 2 yesterday and he said it would go out then or today.

Re: Alpha MAgs

Got mine in the mail today. I spoke with Chris Thursday, said he's been swamped but did get everything caught up, had a whole pile of boxes going out for shipment. I'll bet yours arrives very soon.

Re: Alpha MAgs

It took over a month ordering them through the website earlier this year. I think you have better luck calling. That seems to be the case with a lot of the vendors here even when they're advertising their web business. I know for a fact that you can put "instructions" in web forms and have them completely ignored when placing two orders within 24 hours of each other.

I think the entire firearm industry has had a massive hangover since SHOT because I don't think any have built much this year. Try getting certain things from Badger Ordnance, Magpul, etc. Getting really tired of hearing about elections as an excuse for the last 4 years.

I don't mean to rant but I've been out over $600 waiting on crap to show up since the beginning of March. That was well over a grand a couple months ago. I'm sure others are out as much or more but it's rather ridiculous to expect customer loyalty when it's an incredibly one-way street.

Re: Alpha MAgs

Sadly I wouldn't recommend the Alphas right now. Not until they get the bugs worked out. I waited for over a month to get a mag that doesn't function properly.

If you have a factory "deep throat" Remington and want to more than single load, the Type 2 length gives you the ability to seat out far enough where the bullet isn't jumping as much. A 168 SMK jumps something like .125 if I load to 2.800. I'm loading 178 AMAX to 2.940.

If this isn't a concern I'd go AI.

Re: Alpha MAgs

Two of mine did not work...but a little bend in the feed lips and now they are 100%. (took 15 secounds)

If you are expecting a mag to work right out of the box without no adjustment then they might not be for you (or any other mag for that matter)

You are asking a lot for a mag to fit stock rifles, chassis, different BM etc.

If you have been in the full auto game you'll know mags are the #1 problem, with a bolt gun its beyound easy to adjust them.
