I had a m110 clone built but never thought I would suppress it ( or even buy a suppressor ever), but now I am thinking I would but I keep hearing issues with KAC suppressors. So my question is " Is there a alternate to the m110 can, or no? Is it just better to redo the barrel and get something like a ops inc, or shark suppressor.

I know it not a big deal and it matters only slightly but I do like the idea of the "over the barrel" suppressor. As I get how it doesn't shift after removing/connecting again. I also think its more pleasing to the eye, but again small issue that isn't necessary.

Re: alternate m110 suppressor

i had a couple mk11's with the KAC QD slip over suppressor, even if it causes some accuracy issues when it heats, how accurate are you looking to get??? if you want to stay 3/4 to 1/2 moa, your gonna have to look @ other options, if your not to concerned with moa or a bit over, stay with the KAC.

Re: alternate m110 suppressor

All of the KAC suppressors we have used seem to be much louder than the other commercially available suppressors. Of course this to the ear without any equipment. I have had several compliments on how quiet my Gemtech HVT is every time I bring it out and shoot it on my AR-10 along with everyone else shooting suppressed M110s.

If I was to do it again, I would go with an Ops Inc .30 12th model. I'm sure Ron Allen can set you up with a custom mount for your barrel with minimal cost. IMO you would be getting a far superior suppressor and saving a few hundred dollars.

Don't buy a suppressor based on looks, get one that will serve your purpose.

Re: alternate m110 suppressor

the new m110K's are not using the same suppressor, weight and length being the chief factors. if you want an over the barrel can look at surefire's 7.62 version, it holds the same poi repeatibly, and wouldn't be as bulky and heavy on the end of your weapon.
just saying all this cuz i lug a 110 around and wish i had a collapsible stock and a lighter shorter can...

Re: alternate m110 suppressor

M C what are the new m110 using for suppressors? Only reason i ask is for general knowledge and to see if it will save me a few bucks getting that can if it is using the same attachment otherwise its shark or ops inc. Thanks again guys
