All.
I have been looking and using alternate powders for many loads as of late due to the popular powders being out of stock.
I am interested in your 308 win loads using 168 /178 amax, these will be used in a few 308, all rem 700, with factory barrels, although 2 are 5r's
.
Currently I have been running H380 in my 308s ,as I have always used it with decent luck in many calibers( 22-250,257 rob,308,30.06) and I have around 10lbs on hand.

my current load is
fed GMM1x fired trimmed, etc( usuallu run win brass but got a deal on this too good to pass up)
cci 200 or win LRP
48.0 gr h 380
168 amax or nosler cc

for 178 amax
same but
47.2 gr of H380

so far have not ran over a chrono as mine is being repaired. These do well for me( sub MOA for 5 at 100, out to 300 as that is as far as I have right now) in most of my rifles( been trying to find a easy go to load for all 308s I have.)

If anyone has info using H380, CFE223 orIMR 8208 please post data..

I have been running xbr 8208 out of my 24.5 " Blaser with really good results using 178 amax.

Load specs are
40.0grs XBR
178gr amax
2.810 oal
gm210m primers
federal brass

according to my dope the round is traveling at 2688fps and getting me out to 1000 yds with 12 mils of elevation. Here is a target during load testing at 100 yds. I also have some data for BLC-2, Varget and H4895 if you ever find some of that.

I tried 8208xbr in a 18" gas gun with the Hornady 178 bthp, I couldn't get the same velocity as Varget. I have heard 8208xbr works well for the 155 grain bullets though.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Jared
