Alternatives to the Wounded Warrior Project?

My Mother recently passed and friends and family are asking if there is a Memorial fund or the like. My father was a Disabled Vet ( WWII, Battle of the Bulge, 75th Division, 291 Rgmt. ) who passed 10 years ago. We would like donations to go to the Vets but I know WWP gave up some of their reputation in recent years. Any suggestions on good organizations that support the Vets especially disabled or wounded?

Around here... The U.S. Marine Scout Sniper Association...

It's a favorite of LL. And one we should all support. Because without the Marine Scout Snipers, we'd have no SH, because LL would have been working at a carwash in Naugatauck instead of being our Dear Leader.
