Has anyone done this. I currently have painted it od green. I was woundering if it would stick worth a crap to it. They say the best is to bead blast it. Im not going to bead blast a fiberglass stock.
Sand it down and spray on! Allumahyde is the best in a can finish, sure duracoat and ceracoat are better but also alot more expensive and you need a setup to spray it on.

It depends upon the OD paint how well the AHII will stick (you are going to use AHII on the stock right?). If its a good epoxy based paint that is fully cured the AHII should be fine.
Up to you if you want to try to strip it, then paint, or just clean it up best you can and paint....
The tan is AHII on top of OD paint and is having no problems (I cleaned with acetone prior to applying):

Its Krylon with bout 3 good coat on it. The last coat i held it alittle father away so it gave it like a texture to the finish. Ill give it a whirl over the Krylon and see what it does.
I have had great results with AH II. Never painted over paint only the stock itself. Best bet is to read the back of the can on AH II or give Brownells a shout. They have great customer service and seem to have the expertese to back it up. Good luck.
