School officials at Denair Middle School are talking Friday about an incident where they allegedly asked a student to remove his American flag from his bike.
Thursday, we tried to speak with Denair Middle School officials but the campus was closed in observance of Veterans Day.

Ed Parraz, the Superintendent of the Denair School District told us a school supervisor asked Cody to take down the flag. The supervisor will not be fired or face repercussions. Parraz says the supervisor had information that Cody's safety was at risk because of the flag. Some students had complained about it and had apparently made threats.

Parraz says they have decided to focus on those students who are causing the problem, not the flag. Cody is now allowed to ride onto school campus with Old Glory on the back. Parraz is aware of the outcry across the nation over this story. He says they embrace the American flag, they are patriotic, but that their main priority is keeping students safe.



So instead of disciplining the students causing the problem make him take the flag off his bike the week of Veterans Day after having it on his bike for the past two months. This is sad that public schools are coming to this.

Well what do you expect from a town that is full of a bunch of illegals anyway? Wish that were my kid. The part that got left out, is that the kid is doing it to honor his grandfather, who is a veteran, and to honor all of the other veterans and military.

I'm a firm believer in making my kids fight their own battles and stand up for themselves in school. I will get involved when necessary and this is a case where I would have had to step in! I think you gain a new perspective of our flag when you fight for all that it stands for.

A new article posted on Fox News showed that the school reversed course on the issue. He can now fly the flag and they are dealing with the students who made threats. That is what should have been done in the first place.

Two weeks ago, there was a Raiders football game here in Oakland, I saw people flying the Mexico flag more than American flag. And worse, some guys flew the Mexico flag ABOVE the American flags.

Fucking UNBELIEVABLE. People need to WAKE UP in this country. It is being taken right under you.

my grandfather and grandmother spoke spanish fluently. there was always mexican food cooking, tortillas being made. we went to a catholic church called our lady of guadelupe. everybody in my area had a hispanic last name. they were all brown. they all worked for santa fe railroad, some for two generations. up the block there were irish and germans, all railroad workers as well. they had their own catholic church called sacred heart. at home mexican music was played, but so was jazz,. my grandparents went to mexico every year for a month or so on vacation to GTO to see my grandmothers family and relatives. we had guests that stayed with us that spoke only spanish. my grandfather was in the army air corps, he served in france during WWII. my grandmother drove a forklift an the sunflower munitions plant.

the one thing that pissed my grandfather off was seeing a mexican flag on the back of someones pickup or michoacan or zacastecas on it. he would shake his head and say they should go back there if they like it so much. maybe its just a generational thing. the first ones over always cling to whats familiar when they are in a strange place as a form of security and comfort. as each successive generation comes of age they have assimilated more into the culture of this country and lose the ties to the old country.

At the dealership I work at every car has a flag on it
People ask when they buy the car if they have to keep the flag
on the car when they leave and ill tell them yes someone died for that flag.

The problem is that these kids are taught that Mexican nationality trumps our nationality. They are taught that we stole and occupied THEIR land. They are taught that the white man is keeping them down. They are taught "brown pride" which CREATES segregation. They will always see thing in "color".

When they are brainwashed at that young age, it's hard if not impossible to set them straight.

Some family history. My family are all immigrants. They came to America for a better life because their country was war torn and ran by communists. I can't even count how many times my grandfather would go on a rant about how shitty his country of origin is. He came here with his oldest son with barely a buck in their pockets and worked their asses off with his god given talent, being a chief. They saved every penny that they could to bring over the rest of the family slowly. Having 8 members in the family was not easy. But now all 6 kids are in the middle-upper class to upper class with all of them owning their own business and employing fellow Americans. The most successful lives in a 5 million dollar home in the Silicon Valley with a net worth of over 20 million. They had NOTHING coming here. They got an education and worked their asses off with no entitlement. This is truly living the American dream. Their story is long and interesting but that is the jist of it.

Why can't the majority of the immigrants do this now? Why must they feel that they need a handout any chance they get? Why do they bitch about the white man taking their land and money? And more importantly, WHY MUST THEY HOLD THEMSELVES DOWN?

I was taught growing up that the United States of America comes first. My family had a lot of national pride. Why is this no longer mentioned in our schools or the media?

I'm so fucking sick of immigrants pushing the blame on us Americans rather than reflect on the true problem, THEMSELVES.

It's being slowly taken over by the extreme left wing liberals that introduced affirmative action, grants for the "colored", etc. Those that are trying to socialize all aspects of life to make it "equal" for all. Those that are trying to kill business in general yet they don't understand that they are the ones that employs their asses. Those that spread their progressive ideas through academia. The dummying of society with the idea that you need to rely on the government for everything because you don't have the ability to look out for yourself.

+1. Our local school takes the time every morning to have a different student each day lead the ENTIRE SCHOOL in reciting the pledge of allegiance via the school-wide intercom system, and EVERY CLASSROOM has a flag. God love the South! and thank him every day for putting me here.

The schools that I have been to did that as well and I live in CA. All the way from K-12 but it stopped when I went to college. No surprised there. Even in high school, we said the pledge every morning over the PA system. But this was over 12 years ago, I can't say how it is anymore.
