American Rifle Company Black Friday and Cyber Week Sale

Ordered a nuc 27NOV and arc 29NOV. Just curious if you guys have been notified. Not really in a hurry and again, I don’t want to bother them.

Nothing yet- I presume that tomorrow ( Monday ) is when they will start the order processing when the employees return to work. The sale wasn't over until Friday midnight - Saturday/Sunday off- and back at the order processing on Monday.

Ordered xylo and wrench on 2dec and got a tracking number already.

Yeah, they probably are overloaded from the sale. They're good people, be patient, no worries.

I asked them on the last day of sale when we bought a nucleus said they were 6 weeks out on mine since I bought so late in sale. Had to make a run for the bolts and finish them ect.

Interesting about 6 to 8 weeks for an Archimedes. I thought I read somewhere that ARC had said that they had stocked up a bit. I wonder if those lead times listed are for new orders coming in now. I wonder how the orders placed early in the Black Friday would have similar time frames or not.

I got a Nuke and Arch about a month prior to the sale. When I ordered them short actions were being made and estimated about 4 weeks. I had them in about 2 1/2. I'm sure they had a pretty good stock before the sale. Also sure at those prices they didn't have enough. I bought another Arch and I don't need it.

It's not a great system, its prone to POI shifts.

Why do you want a barloc system?
Mine has worked flawlessly with Savage prefit barrels, only issue I ever had was a 30” heavy Palma barrel that had the shoulder cut too far forward so that by the time I got the barrel tight enough to stop shifting it would only chamber some cartridges sized well under a go gauge.

However the same 30” heavy Palma barrel in a Savage prefit had zero issues in the several years I’ve been using it.

Ted,

Thanks for the products and the passion that is so evident in the videos I’ve watched. Could you comment about the BARLOC and why there are parts available on your website, but there aren’t Barloc systems avialable- or am I mistaken?

I ordered one with the code “M4-W-1063-20”, but when I google that there are no hits, except for MileHigh?

Thanks,

I tried to get an order in for a Xylo buy it wouldn’t let me do separate billing and delivery addresses. Maybe next year! Grats on the success of the sale.

Since we learned about the zero shift, we suspended sales of the Barloc but people are still ordering the Barloc spare parts individually to assemble the whole. People want what they want and they have their reasons for wanting it. For some it's fine. For others, it's not.

Basically he doesn’t want to sell it but he will continue to support all of his products parts.

Since last week? It was on the website then. It was orderable then. So sometime this weekend they stopped selling them? After their largest sale of the year…

Ordered a complete rig (rifle) on a Mausingfield action in 6mm Creedmoor, hope to get it in my grubby hands in a couple of weeks. I was debating between the Archimedes and the Mausingfield. I know that I would likely be better served with the Archimedes. But I've been drooling over this Masuingfield action since it was first released. Worse comes to worse I'll build a hunting rig with this action and order an Archimedes the next time around and install in it's place.

I mean your dilemma is kind like a bought a brand new Ferrari but kinda wanted the lambo. If I don’t like the Ferrari I’ll just drive it on weekends and order up the lambo! I think your going to love the Ferrari but you can always buy the lambo also 😂 lol. Your going to love your new arc! Congratulations.

Thank you ARC! I purchased a complete nucleus rifle a few weeks before the sale was announced. It hadn't shipped yet so I called last Friday and Bella was great. Answer all the questions I had and let me cancel my nucleus and get a mausingfield. It's my first custom action/rifle. Super excited.
Ha! That is awesome :) I do love my Mausingfields!

My first custom was a Mausingfield as well. You will be more than satisfied!

Congrats!!

Did Bella provide you an ETA?

Well they already had all my other parts for the rifle set aside since it was already ordered before and I was just changing the action. I was told 2 to 3 weeks. I believe the lead times for rifles is in the 6 to 8 weeks time frame according to there website.
I'm hoping that I'm in the 2 week schedule, since the action I ordered was instock at the time I placed my order.

I guess we'll see here shortly.

Why do you want a barloc system?

It's entirely dependent on one thing; How deep was the chamber cut in the SHOULDERED barrel?

With Savage style barrels where you adjust headspace, you can get the Barloc tight enough to never suffer from POI shift issues.

The problem came about when barrels made it out into the world with a relationship between the head space and shoulder (chamber cut a little shallow) that forced you to use up the "range of motion" of the barloc when tightening it, and left less force to be applied between the action and barrel shoulder. Basically you'd bottom out the screw, completely tighten the barloc, and just barely create pressure between the barrel and receiver. Those were the instances that had POI shift.

With the proper tension, I tested the system and found no difference vs. solid shouldered barrels. Loosey goosey, lots of POI problems.
