While I disagree with Mr Kyles Religious stance, No one can doubt that he was one hell of a warrior, and a master of his art. Mean spirited books of this nature do nothing but demean the author.

I don't even have the words... Is this how it will be in the age of digital media? Since it costs nothing to publish an ebook, every asshole with an opinion will publish his piece of shit book? I will say, as someone who has been patriotic all my life, having most of my family military, and i myself serving in a combat zone in iraq while i was in... This really pisses me off.

In his defense... What we do out there is not glamorous. Call it what you want but our snipers... Hell... Any snipers, murder people. Do they deserve it... Most likely. But you have people out there that see them as nothing more than murderers. They kill people... There really is no silver lining to it, it's a dirty job. I respect his opinion... So he won't see my money.

I did not serve and I'm glad I've never had to kill someone, but I fully understand these men have a job to do. There job involves the taking of lives. I don't think there's a moral dilemma, since it boils down to this: if a soldier doesn't kill his enemy, his enemy will kill him. It doesn't matter if a fella likes killing men. I he likes living, he will kill his enemy. If someone is too dense to understand it, even when put into the most simple and basic terms, then he is truly a lost cause...

What we do is not murder. We dont fire on unarmed people for shits and giggles, we dont pop children because it looks fun. Ied teams, armed enemy personnel, and men that would happily kill our friends are legitimate targets and deserve what they get.

Murder was probably the wrong word. Kill would be better as it doesn't try to show innocence of the victim.

I think it's important that babble like this gets out. This book is the tumor that has broken through the ulcerated skin of sickness. I first saw it in college when I was shouted at mindlessly for the evilness of my patriotism. This book shouts the same message, but loud enough for all of us to hear it thanks to the interweb. This book is a pile of shit, no doubt. But because I can smell it I know where not to step. There is an ugly clarity that is given by this maggots honesty and his/her willingness to misdirect his/her anger at Chris. Having been in the devils belly I will always take that honesty in deep breaths, be it the rancid gas that it is, over an delusions of unity. This is why I have never opted to respond in kind to the shrill haters who endeavor to overwhelm my ears with such vitriol. I have to know who has my back and who will sucker punch when I'm not looking. Chris has just been sucker punched, but I think he can take it.

I'm reading American Sniper and American Gun is on deck as my next read. Chris is a better writer, a better American, and a better human than this clown. He'll be remembered for all time as a hero.

"Lou Cipher" doesn't even have the balls to publish under his real name. Just another ungrateful coward. Sorry OP but we can't castrate Lou. He's already done it to himself.
