Watched the first 10 minutes of this and had to stop watching.

What a bunch of alt.left pathetic revisionism and attacks against the U.S. military.

Utterly appalling.

Guess Jesse Ventura decided to fund a bunch of MTV hipsters to make a movie that portrayed Kyle as a serial killer... a-la PBS.

Don't watch or record or bother.

Pathetic.

Is it possible to appreciate Kyle's contribution as a sniper, while understanding he was as flawed as the next guy?

He peddled some bullshit after his service and got caught doing it, and jury trial proved that fact.

I'm not the biggest fan of Gov. Body, but in this case he was totally vindicated and Kyle proven a liar.

That's obviously a bitter pill for lots of guys to swallow.

The guy did more for the country and saved more Marines lives then I ever did; I admit that even while serving as a Marine from 04-12. However, at least three of his "stories" were pure bullshit and as a result people will question his integrity.

With that being said, I'm sick of hearing about it. The guys dead, JV won his suit, let it go.

For the record, Ventura's lawsuit was thrown out on appeal,

Washington Post June 13, 2016

An appeals court on Monday threw out a $1.8 million judgment against the estate of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle that had been awarded in a lawsuit alleging Kyle had defamed former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura in his best-selling book “American Sniper.”

The guy was full of himself, and apparently, loved to tell tall tales. That alone makes me question his claims of his "confirmed kills" (that isn't actually a thing btw), as well as his story about the bar "fight". We'll likely never know for certain what happened in that bar since both sides came up with witnesses, who apparently saw totally different things. It would be beyond difficult, if not entirely impossible to prove his claims for kills.

All that said, he apparently served honorably, and put in a great deal of work. You can respect one's service, without respecting them as an individual.
