I’ve used Frankford Arsenal boxes for about 15 years now. No complaints. Cheap enough you can buy more if they break and they hold up well. Especially now that they use an actual plastic hinge design, instead of a folded piece of plastic like the original design (which has also held up just fine for me).
+1 on the fusion paint . I give all mine a custom paint job . Calibers I have multiple guns chambered in I will go two tone . A quick scrub with a scrotch brite pad and alcohol and the fusion sticks very well .
That + a small stencil lets me know what caliber/firearm type. First mark is firearm type (silver = shotgun, red = rifle, purple = pistol), second mark is caliber.
I just write directly on it with a sharpie, easily wipes off with some alcohol
Yeah, and it is compatible with the OP’s color coding scheme. All he needs to do is to write RED on the box.
While I posted the picture of the spray paint can as a suggestion for the OP, this is what I do personally.
Or just get you some reloading labels, put one on the inside of the lid so your load date doesn’t get worn off, and write the cartridge on the outside of the box in sharpie. If you are using a slick clear plastic box, lighter fluid and a rag will remove sharpie.Blue painters tape works pretty good to keep track of what’s inside.
