Hello guys,
I just got a Remington 700 SPS tactical 20" barrel 1:9 twist in .223
Replaced the stock with a Bell and Carlson and I am now ready to go shooting.
I do not reload and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on make and bullet weight of match ammo I can buy.

Thanks.

I've got a 1:9 .223 ( Remington XCR Compact Tactical ) as well. I'd suggest trying small quantities of any 69 grain match ammo that is available locally. Go with whatever groups best in your gun.

eg:
-Federal GM223M ( http://www.federalpremium.com/products/details/rifle.aspx?id=146 ).
-Lapua GB501 ( http://www.lapua.com/index.php?id=926 )

1:9 *may* stabilise 75 - 77 grain bullets. You might want try some at that weight too.
eg
-Hornady 75 gr BTHP Match ( http://www.hornady.com/store/223-Rem-75-gr-BTHP-Match/ )
-Federal 77 gr GM223M3 ( http://www.federalpremium.com/products/details/rifle.aspx?id=147 )

I have a bunch of the Hornady 5.56 NATO TAP ( http://www.hornadyle.com/products/more_detail.php?id=72&sID=75&pID=1 ) for my AR. I tried 3 rounds as a function check in the XCR. Can't say anything about the accuracy except that there was no evidence of key-holing at 100 yards.

agreed, shoot the 69 smk black hills blue box. Best "bang" for the buck.
