Amp annealer question

About to bite the bullet and buy this ridiculously expensive annealer. I was wondering if anyone has purchased it at a discount, and if AMP ever even offers a discount.

Although I think it’s overpriced it seems like it is the best option out there.

Also, do any of you regret buying it?

No regret buying mine plus I had a buddy chip in to. I feel the difference at the press and at the range

Black Friday was $200 off and 3 free pilots. Not sure if you already have a setup or if it’s worth it to you to wait and see if that happens again.

Most of the used AMP you see are the mk1. You could probably get a mk1 with Or without Aztec and upgrade to Aztec if needed. You’d be around $1k total from what I see used pricing when they show up. You will rarely see a mk2 for sale. Which means most people keep it. They may keep it since they already have it and wish they would have stayed with their original annealer, who knows. But they aren’t selling.

I can say I have zero regrets with mine and wouldn’t even consider going back to another annealer.

Check out the Annie annealer. With some of the things they are doing the are great. I have a question for the AMP guys as well. The Mark ones what is the largest brass you can put in them. I see they dont take 50bms. Getting a cheytac soon, just wondering if it will take it. Or even my 375 HH

Just sold my bench source annealer to help justify buying a new AMP annealer which I did this morning. For years I played with how to make the bench source annealer faster to setup and decided it wasn't worth the time because at the end of the day my reloading room is in a basement without adequate ventilation so Id have to sit in the garage (cold in winter, humid in summer). It was enough of a barrier that I didn't anneal enough to justify the cost of the bench source annealer, as much as I wanted it to work. The AMP annealer, while expensive, I look forward to actually using for each case each reload. Kudos to everyone who can trust the torch but the body of evidence created by AMP is hard to ignore if you are looking for information.

I have used my Mk 1 to anneal 338 Lapua brass so your 375 H&H should be good. I also believe the MK 1 will handle Cheytac too but if you get a MK 2 version it will handle 50 BMG.

No regrets for me. It’s expensive but it gives me piece of mind know my brass is a annealed consistently.

Also my reloading is done in an upstairs spare bedroom turned into a gun room/workshop. not having an exposed flame we also valuable benefit to me.
