@BytorJr I tested positive for antibodies the last time I gave blood, so apparently I had it at some time. I couldn't tell you when because I literally had no symptoms that I was aware of. I'm pushing 50 and not in the kind of shape I was 20 years ago, but I'm reasonably healthy with no chronic problems (yet) and a little overweight. I'm not a young super-healthy dude, just your average middle aged guy and I never even knew I had it.
Did they give you any idea of the number of people that died because you had it . . . and evidently were an asymptomatic carrier?
Given the lack of evidence for asymptomatic transmission in WHO studies and the fact that I've been going to work this whole time and nobody there has gotten it, I'd estimate it at ZERO.
Respiratory viruses have been around for at least a few tens of thousands of years. We're pretty well adapted to dealing with these things as a species. If one was going to come along and wipe out humanity then it would have happened already. What is unique is the level of gaslighting and political malevolence in America these days. One study says one thing and other contradicts it, and the political factions decide which one they're going to push and then beat their war drums. My town is apparently full of jackbooted thugs in suits and blouses that are hell bent on making people conform to their hysterical diaster porn fantasy world view. It's disgusting and demoralizing.
If this had happened in the 50's we'd never even know what it was called.
Now if I could only grow a beard I’m 56 I would probably take me till I was 58 to have something resembling a beardSo do beards
It’s all part of the plan Demic as many doctors have already mentioned that exact thingI think with everybody constantly using sanitizers, wipes etc. we are in fact reducing our immunity to "other than covid" viruses. We'll see a surge of other shit start killing people soon enough. Its been my understanding that we need to expose ourselves to this stuff so our bodies can learn to defend against the constantly evolving buggers.
The problem I have with these mandates is that the whole mask effectiveness arguement is pseudoscience at best. There is nothing that definitively says that masks are effective against viral transmission. Furthermore there is nothing that proves that masks are even safe to use as far as the public is concerned.
A mask, especially the cloth type that I see around town is most likely filthy and constantly being touched and fiddled with. My hypothesis is they may well increase one's chance of becoming infected by having a vector for viral transmission directly on your face all day. The masks we use in healthcare are disposable and changed often, this is not what the public is doing.
Seriously, it was a non-event. I felt a little off (amazing huh) for a couple of days, then woke up with aches and pains like a flu. I monitored my temp and at one point it jumped up to a little over 100 for about 4 hours. Got tested the next day, it took a week to get the results back, I was positive.Get off the Bear Pit, you're going to infect us all............ HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Seriously though, tell us "how bad" it was and if you had "pre-existing" conditions. Or are you some younger super healthy person? I've been waiting for somebody here that actually has had it that's willing to tell us if it was unbelievably bad, flu bad, stomach virus bad (just kill me), or I've been on an airplane and I've got the shit that you get on an airplane bad. Since you're the only person I've been in contact (even though it's an internet site), I'm interested. I do hope you don't relapse or is all the testing now over since you had one "negative" test?
Thanks.
I have hypertension am diabetic and have several other medical problems that I take meds for and yet unless absolutely forced to I refuse to wear a mask it is mostly political BS and it’s just a test to see how far we can be controlled I find it particularly difficult to breathe with a mask plus all the germs you expel into the mask are inhaled again and concentrated and recirculatedSeriously, it was a non-event. If I compare my health to when I was in really good shape 30 years ago, I'd have to say I'm out of shape. I have hypertension that is treated with meds, I'm over 65, I've had cancer, I'd say I'm right on the edge of the at-risk group.
I'd rate this as a 1 or 2 on a scale of 10 with 10 being the worst illness I've ever had.
I say the vast majority of the covid narrative is flat out BS. I know people are dying and some are getting really sick, but hospitals have financial incentive to say it's covid, that's straight out data tampering.
So... back to the question. Do I need to wear a mask?

You sound like you are in the same physical condition as I am. Interesting.Seriously, it was a non-event. I have heard heat signatures are as individual as faces. I'll bet they are way beyond facial recognition.
Exactly. People fuck with their masks all day. They never wash them. In short, all the germs they come in contact with all day, is on their mask, all day. I see people wearing their masks down below their nose and they act like theyre really doing gods work. The problem I have with these mandates is that the whole mask effectiveness arguement is pseudoscience at best. There is nothing that definitively says that masks are effective against viral transmission. Furthermore there is nothing that proves that masks are even safe to use as far as the public is concerned.

I went and had the blood draw, then a week later they did the phone consult.I have worn a mask twice since The Apocalypse started.
The first time was with my wife at the hospital. She had "a procedure" and I had to drive her home from it. I thought about sitting in the van in the parking lot, but figured that would not go over very well with her . . . so I waited in the room with her. She took her mask off . . . and everybody was OK with that - of course, I could not take mine off.
The second time was today during a military funeral. The Flag presentation was inside the church. I had to wear a mask. The preacher and the soloist did NOT have to wear a mask . . . cuz, you know . . . it is not like they were doing a whole bunch of talking or singing. When we got outside, I took my mask off so the rifle squad could hear my commands. The rest of the guys in the squad were not wearing one - because it looked stupid - and we were outside - and the family and congregation was "way over there" (most wearing their masks). Oh well, just another "duty" to ensure a veteran received what he was due.
I suspect I will be required to wear a mask at the VA at the end of this month. They wanted to do a telephone consultation, but I could not get them to explain to me how I was going to go to the Lab for a blood draw over the phone.
There is one other place that wants my consultation services. They require a mask for admittance into the building, but will allow me to remove it when I get to the area needing the service. I suspect I will need to put the mask back on in order to leave the building. I have not got back to them, but when they ask again, I will inquire about the mask. If it is still a requirement, my comment will be that it sounds dangerous and I will just stay away. I will encourage them to contact me again, when it is safe.
Yes, it is going to be like that. They get to make the rules for their particular AO, but they have to live by my decision about their decision . . . and wait for whatever it was they wanted me to do.
In a sense, yes. But I still use sanitizer after shopping at a local store or after pumping gas. I dont WANT to get sick, and Im not going to lick pump handles or door knobs to boost my immunity.I think with everybody constantly using sanitizers, wipes etc. we are in fact reducing our immunity to "other than covid" viruses. As the masks I see are 80% cloth feel good versions
seems strange to "qualify" these for entry.
Only a few weeks back a national debate/quorum was foisted on MSM 24/7
about the N95 masks.
I guess as long as the sheep feel safe than the goal has been achieved.

So with this "public health pandemic" and the phrasing the lawyer did in the video. How hard is it going to be once folks are conditioned to fulfill their civic duties of public "safety" and turn in their weapons and report your neighbors ? Because we all know that a leftist is absolutely planning this right now.

When I want to avoid the hassle I wear a "Dont Tread on Me" bandana.
SJW dont know what to do when they see it.
Latest news is masks for meds are running short again.
Will next direction be we need to lockdown to ensure they have PPE?

they sell an assortment of masks at walmart.
they even have a mirror so you can see what you look like before buying.
how fucking stupid is that?
well having idiots trying on masks should help spread it pretty well. It's become yet another virtue signal. Wear your mask like a good citizen. Be nice and compliant and we won't have to make you a statistic. I live in Oklahoma which is one of the least hard-hit places and the hysteria is still spreading faster than the virus.
First of all, glad you're okay. Hoping your symptoms are more common that the reported symptoms. ISeriously, it was a non-event. Mike Castleton said, the other day, the only mask he is going to wear is a lone ranger mask.
Just threw it out there, didn't want to change water flow direction of the river or nuthin

you can probably find posts about my opinion of walmart (it sucks).
i don't blame the poors for buying diapers and shit from there, but i can afford to put principles above prices.
I see. I do know who that is then. In an online sense anyway. I thought it was an expression I was not familiar with, the coma for an apostrophe threw me off.
We have been getting the hand ringing about face masks for a few weeks now. They ask me if I have been wearing a mask. I ask them if they are accusing me of robbing stage coaches.![]()

I distinctly remember the sickest I've been as an adult. Caught something on airplane. Sat next to woman coming back from UAE. She was sick and told me so. 8 hours later I was under massive "stomach flu" but it wasn't just that. I was literally spewing from everything but my ears and nose. Fever wasn't bad the first day and had even cleared up by time was at doctors. 3 days later I was in ER with 104.2 fever. Dehydration is the killer.
Thanks for filling us in!!!
