i used Strelok on my iphone, just got an android phone and downloaded it again, havent used it on there though.

I have Strelok on my HTC and really like it a lot. It even has reticles for most of the common scopes out there so it shows where the bullet will land on your reticles. Very cool program. Highly recommended and it's free!

installed it last week and will put it to the test Saturday. I ran my loads thru it the other night and it came out with expected values. Easy to use and a huge + for the automatic atmospheric info if your GPS is turned on!

shooter is awesome!!! it's pretty much free if you compare it to stuff like quikload.
just 10 bucks. lets you run alot of 'what if' scenarios too. to see what you can expect from a certain bullet. only if there was such a good ballistic software like this!

Been using Shooter for probably 5 months. Absolutely love it. +1 on getting the bluetooth Kestrel...would love to give that a try as well.

Shooter... I used it exclusively at ASC this month and it was dead nuts on. Really loved how everything is integrated and just spits out the answer. GPS for weather station inputs, angle indicator for steep shots, range calculations for milling solutions, etc...

+ 1 on the Shooter GPS weather conditions. You can then double check on weather.com to see if you are pulling data from different stations and interpolate as needed based on radar maps and whatever fronts may be moving in. I also keep FAA weather in the phone... when it comes to weather and predicting what's going to happen the FAA knows their stuff... people die when they get it wrong, and I think they don't get enough credit for how often they are spot on. They are very good at predicting DA because it affects landing and takeoff length so much.

I have also used Shooter quite a bit. I love it. Although, I would not put too much stock into the weather data on your phone, mainly the wind. It's not as current as one would think, at least the weather apps I use anyways. They don't update very quickly. Many times I'd go off the phone data, and many times I was frustrated, as I knew from my impacts I was shooting for the wrong wind. I bought a Kestrel with BT, and things improved. Not saying you need a BT Kestrel, but any windmeter would be better than going off your "current" conditions from your phone.... My opinion.

Does anyone else have problems with the battery running out on their DroidX when running Shooter? Mine only lasts about 1.5 hours.I was thinking I should buy another battery but maybe I'm ignorant of a way to preserve battery life.

You need to put your phone into sleep mode after you use it each time. Thats the only problem with it.
