Looking at more than a few.
    Gen 3 razor
    Atacr
    Nx8
    Xtr pro
    T6xi
    Tract 4.5-30
    Mk5HD

I’ve had good luck wjth bushnell but not sure they compete with some of these?

So far, the tract and mk5 are standing out for price. After .mil, the tract coming in under $1500 and the fde 5-25 mk5 coming in under $1700… makes me wonder what the g3 razor is bringing to the table for $1100 more.

Looking to stay around $2000 or under but could do $2500 max if it’s justified

On that list... Razor Gen3 tops the list, I really love mine...Had it for almost 2 years now. Also the Kahles K624i with the SKMR4 reticle is a great one...Got a couple of those, too. I'd take a really good look at the Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x...I have one of these for a few years, as well. If you're just dead-set on buying a $2,000 scope...

But if not, and you're mainly going to be shooting targets instead of game animals... If you want to save some serious coin (or scope up a few rifles for the same price as just one high-tier scope), but still have a scope that will still do 95% of what the high-end scopes do, take a look at the DNT 7-35x56. It's not a high-priced scope, it's a budget scope, but the glass is better than any budget scope I've owned. The glass is honestly not that far from the top-end scopes as far as clarity and IQ. They also track true & repeatably, and the hold up just fine in the box test. There might be a tiny bit of CA in the image, and when the target is in a shady/dark area, it can be hard to get good IQ above 25x, but those are about the only 2 flaws I can find in these damn things. I've got 2 of them now.

So….. Your use should drive the optic. What is your priority? Price, glass quality, turrets, or reticle options for example. Nothing inherently wrong with any of the optics you listed but at the end of the the day it’s YOUR optic.

1st focal plane scopes are really tough for hunting if you grab the wrong reticle, unless it’s illuminated. So now that’s on the table and just drove up the price of the Mark 5…. See where the problem begins?

We can all fanboy our favorite brand for you and in the end you might really hate it because it didn’t fill your needs.

But, you should absolutely buy the T6X with MSR2 reticle because it’s my favorite.

Grabbed a Gen 3 razor from the PX for $2300.... I didnt want to spend that much but felt like it was a good deal and if I dont care for the G3, I should be able to recoup the majority of that.

Interesting… was just looking at the T6X 5-30. Good to know these are Long Range approved!
