Version 4.0 with an exact copy of the hammer didn't work. But it did allow me to better see what changes in the hammer geometry were needed. Verion 5.0 was a success and is reliable. I changed the angle the hammer hits the firing pin, and changed the plunger and plunger spring. You can see a live fire video below. I held the gun in my hand, which shouldn't be too different than when attached to a glove. It didn't require much force to fire. The first test didn't have a spring loaded firing pin so the gun would hang up on the firing pin when unloading. I installed a spring return to the firing pin for the second test and it worked fine. I punched three holes in a piece of 1/4" pine.
All that remains is final finishing/shaping, Cerakote, and installation on the glove.
