Another game of "What Am I Building"? FINISHED, W/VIDEO

Version 4.0 with an exact copy of the hammer didn't work. But it did allow me to better see what changes in the hammer geometry were needed. Verion 5.0 was a success and is reliable. I changed the angle the hammer hits the firing pin, and changed the plunger and plunger spring. You can see a live fire video below. I held the gun in my hand, which shouldn't be too different than when attached to a glove. It didn't require much force to fire. The first test didn't have a spring loaded firing pin so the gun would hang up on the firing pin when unloading. I installed a spring return to the firing pin for the second test and it worked fine. I punched three holes in a piece of 1/4" pine.
All that remains is final finishing/shaping, Cerakote, and installation on the glove.

Here is the finished product. It came out pretty nice, after five attempts/rebuilds/re-designs. 100% reliable now (As long as you hit your target square and don't punch like a sissy). Slightly bigger than the original and no extractor (a stick works fine). Grossly overbuilt to be safe.

I won two SASS World Champion titles for Frontier Cartridge Duelist. One time I was shooting over a hay bale and caught the hale bale on fire.

Yeah, I lit the derringer side match targets on fire with my Cobra (Remington Pattern) shooting Snakebites BLB over 19g of 3f. Silver Buck was not a happy camper. 😁

Shot with Badlands Bud locally several times and Lead Dispenser too at Chorro Valley.
