Figured I'd jump on the 7WSM kill bandwagon. Hunt was up near Grande Prairie, AB. Moose made it easy on me with a 90 yd shot offhand, one shot and DRT. GAP Non-Typical 7WSM, Vortex PST, 160 grain Barnes TSX.
No I didn't recover the bullet. It was a quartering towards shot and after quartering and hauling out the meat I didn't feel like digging around for it.

I'm looking at building almost the exact same rifle in 6.5 creedmoor. How do you like the PST on a hunting rifle?
I'd love to see more close ups of the rifle if you don't mind posting them.
I like the PST, but I haven't gotten a chance to use it a whole lot. I was carrying my bow on that hunt too, it just worked out that the bull came into a wide open area and there was no chance for a bow shot as he was circling to get our wind. I like the scope so far and it's a lot lighter than my USO, but I have only used it to zero the rifle and for that single shot, so I really can't comment. I'm hoping to get some more use out of it when I get home, but I think I'm going to sell the rifle it's on and transfer it to another. Here's a link to the original ad for the rifle, I bought it from another hide member:
