That's not next. First we have to ban all the 'mental illness', so that way crimes won't exist anymore. Then we can ban homelessness, so that there are no more poor people.

We all have gone through an age when we believe that it is extremely easy to find solutions for problems and that instant, magical fixes can always be applied with the push of a button. We often hear of schoolkids saying things like "Oh yes we can stop war. Just take away all the guns and bombs". Or "We can stop world hunger now. Just build supermarkets everywhere"... The thing is, this kind of thinking is only normal in VERY young children. Age range 3 to 7. When you are 20-30 something years old, still living off of your parents' trust funds without having busted your ass for something ever in your life, and STILL thinking like a kindergarten child, there is something SERIOUSLY fucking wrong with you.
That said, this whole latest truckload of nonsense, as funny as it may seem, likely carries an agenda far less naive than we think, as many others in this thread have pointed out. The very LEAST sinister goal that I can come up with is a very elaborate Social Security and health insurance fraud run by these "activists". This has been done numerous times by many "private outreach" agencies in urban areas. Lure the homeless to clinics, sign them up for all kinds of useless tests and other shit that they don't really need, and milk the fuck out of any insurance policies/Medicare/SSI that they have. Usually these scams run up to 2 to 3 years before you see the ringleaders being paraded out in a courtroom. This may be no different, just on a larger scale. Of course, we can even wargame into much more sinister possibilities. Using them for clandestine medical research projects, up to and including straight up extermination... All have been done in history by various regimes. Not dystopian scifi stuff at all, so theoretically, it is all possible.
Bottom line, there is NO such thing as benefits without sacrifice/payment in this life. Nobody comes out of the blue and gives you rewards, luxuries, comforts, and gifts without some kind of payment from you. Whether financial, sexual, or political, as in the case of a government making you surrender your guns in the name of "safety".
