Howdy,

I went out and shot OCW's for 3 different rifles the other day, a 300WM, 7RM, and .260 Remington. I just want some input so I know that I am looking in the right spot.

From top to bottom, 300wm, 7rm, 260.

I only have groups 4-6 for the .260 because I accidentally threw away 1-3 (I'm a dummy). To me on the 300WM, it looks like I should go with 4, on the 7RM the fact that group 4 shifted to the right and then 5 came back left leaves me questioning, and on the .260 it looks like 4-6 group together.

I have a m700 7 RM that I load a lot hotter but my COAL is also quite a bit longer, the Tikka magazine is really limiting my COAL. At mag length I am still 0.099 off the lands where as with my m700 I can touch the lands if need be.

I have a Tikka 308 that I load light for kids and hunting in the woods. I have to jump over .100 with 125 B-tips and 155 Berger Hybrids when mag feeding. 165 Hornady BTSP I can seat touching the lands and still mag feed. The 125 and 155 shoot ok but the 165's shoot extremely good jumping .010. You might look for another bullet in the 7mag that lets you seat bullets within .025 of the lands and still mag feed. Ive used a hornady 162 with H-1000 around 69 grains in several 7rm's that shot well.

Just so its easier to see the 7 stuff

What are the charges? Are they fine increments or is there be a half grain in between each?

Without any actual data I would say group 2 and start refining it down a bit but really thats just a shot in the dark without knowing what Im actually looking at.

Edit: get more than 18 rounds through the gun and come back later once its settled in because like above its hard to parse anything from this as there is a consistency issue from one to the other.

I noticed the 7 "stuff" was all grouping about the same clock position. Charges for each group are as follows with a 1% difference between each charge. Why group 4 swung out, and then 5 swung back in, I am not sure.
