i know the pinnacle tubes are "rated" for 5.56 recoil only but i always like to push things for some reason and wondered what the consensus would be on running one on a 6.5 creedmoor? too much? i sure as hell wish someone would come out with a shock mitigation system for these units besides having to spend 7 or 8k on a clip on. the d 930 is looking promising though.

Re: another pvs-14 recoil question

Most people say 223 only on pinnacles and even at that try to get a pinnacle with aleast .90 to 1.0 halo for weapons fire. I tried to buy a good clean spot/spec,higher spec's pinnacle tube with over 1.0 halo for weapon sight use and couldn't even find one to buy with the money in my pocket burning a hole. It seems a pinnacle with over 1.0 halo is a very rare bird these days much less one with clean spot spec and high performace specs. I had to lower my standards to getting a pinnacle with around .95 halo with the spot spec/performance spec I was looking for. That tube is out of warranty now it has been used pretty heavy on a 300BLK subsonic only ar-15,9mm ar-15 subsonic only, and a 6.8 mid power load all suppressed rifles I haven't had any issues yet but it could happen at any time its just a risk you take it may bite me one day I will just buy another tube it's a risk I am willing to take.

6.5 Creedmore is just under 60,000 PSI - with that calibre round, it's way too high for safety. Around 450 G's on my scale ( est 4 Kg rifle main mass ) and is not far off 7.62 - I would not recommend it at all. The odds are against you with this one.
