With the great pricing out there on new Gen II 4.5X27X56, is that really the best deal going for features and value? I am also looking at the S&B PMII, but we are talking about an $800 difference. The best scope I currently own is a Bushnell HDMR. I would assume either one of these scopes is a significant step up in quality. I am not too concerned about weight as this would be going on a AI MKIII with 26" barrel. Thanks for the help.

I am new to this game, actually still waiting on my first percision rifle to be built, and had to decide on a scope. A lot of good options out their but I ended up going with the Gen 2 razor 4.5-27. I concluded that for the price it was the best proven scope available. This scope has been one of the top choices for some time at a much higher price point. There are some other good ones in the 1500-2000 range but are not tired and trued as the Gen 2.

They are hard to beat for that price. I bought mine used for more years ago. Only downside is weight but if its not on a hunting rig then it shouldn't matter to much.

personally I won’t buy AAD anymore. When you have an issue they never answer their email. I had a cap on a Hensholdt that never stayed tight. Had to wrap electric tape around the ocular to fit tight. They are nice caps. But their customer service sucks

I got one because of the price for the features. You have to step up to S&B for better glass, but not a lot better imo and the EBR 7C is my favorite reticle period. It does seem like the best value by far.

A Gen 2 Razor will in no way limit your abilities.
A great combination of glass, reticle and features.
At current prices one of the best deals out there.

Getting into tier 1 glass just gets you a more refined and sophisticated experience, in no way will they make you shoot better than a scope in the class of a Razor.
Your just getting more fluff and buff.

Got my Gen II 4.5-27x56 about a year ago from Expert Voice. Love it. I found that Eurooptic has a decent price on them, but I’ve also seen some smoking deals for them on the Hide.

So yeah... I’m going to have to retract my previous post about Expert Voice and Eurooptic. Just went to Liberty Optics’ website. Didn’t know prices could be so low. I am humbled.

The price at Liberty Optics was the final kicker that pushed me to the Gen 2. Hard to beat this scope at that price. I have decided on picking up a RimX and thinking about going back to Liberty Optics for the AMG.

Same questions on here over and over. The vortex is an excellent choice in the 1500 to $1600 price. Not sure I can count how many times this has been mentioned. Do your research.

Same story here. Scott's price at Liberty Optics was too good to pass up. There's some good options in that price range but the Gen 2 Razor has been around a while and still holds its own. No regrets at all.
