hold on a second and let me tie myself in for the ride........ ok here we go. i am starting to save my pennies and dims in hopes of purchasing a long distance tactical style scope sometime at the end of the year. ya i know a little premature in the post but oh well. this is what i want in the scope.

Power: Variable
low power equal to or less than 8
high power equal to or greater than 20
Reticle: FFP
would like the style to be similar to the
IOR mp-8dot, Nightforce npr-1, falcon ml-16

Turrets: preferably Mil/Mil but matching is fine.

Tube: equal to or grater than 30mm

Objective lens: between 40mm and 56mm

Illumination: indifferent

available elevation adjustment: at least 24mil/80moa

i am aware of the fallowing
Vortex Razor 5-20HD
US Optics SN-3 3.8-22
US Optics SN-3 5-25
Premier Heritage 5-25
and the soon to come out Super Sniper 5-20HD

if you would like to share you opinion on the above listed please feel free to do so as i will be interested but the main reason for the post is to see if there is something out there that i do not know about. if there is please let me know

Thanks

optics added as result of posts
Leupold Mark 4 FFP in a 6.5-20
S&B 5-25x56
March 3-24x42
S&B 3-20x50

Re: another scope querry.

+1 on the Razor. Had an oppurtunity to play around with it. Great quality from the glass to the turrets. Leupold has their newer Mark 4 FFP in a 6.5-20 with the m5 dials (.1 mil) thats also a honey of a scope. I don't think the Nightforce is an FFP though. Just their 3.5-15 F1 has the front focal.

thanks for the Leupold suggestion, for some reason i thought they were limited on there elevation availability but on a second glance it appears that i was mistaken

Well than I vote for razor with 37 mils you can't beat that. That is a lot of adjustment. But be willing to pay 2000 new.

Re: another scope querry.

Vortex PST 6-24x50 FFP
Bushnell Elite 6-24x50
Bushnell/Horus HDMR 3-21
IOR 4-28x56 (40mm tube) or 6-24x56(35mm tube)
S&B 3-20x50 (coming sometime this year)
Hensoldt 6-24x56 (plain mil-dot reticle though)

All these are FFP plus available in mil/mil & all are illuminated except the Bushnell/Horus. Pretty broad price range here too...
