Another Source for AI Magazines

Re: Another Source for AI Magazines

Did anyone else see "All magazines also include the Accurate-Mag name on the side?"

What is that supposed to do, fool people into thinking these are AI mags? I smell some bullshit...

I can't believe how many people have copied Mauser or J.M.Browning! I'm pretty sure that there has never been another magazine similar to the AI, this was an original idea (let's be serious). If an builder can make these magazines/keep high quality standards and sell for a lower price, I'm glad I live the U.S.A.! It looks like obama hasn't figured out how to screw up this tiny little spot of free enterprise yet, hope he never does.

Re: Another Source for AI Magazines

I read in the American Rifleman, Ruger is having Accurate Magazine mfg mags for their new Scout rifle, the art. said they are the AI pattern, don't know, but I think they too will fit the 308 family of mags. They also have Ruger's name on the floor plate. There was a mention of Ruger to come out with their own in some sort of poly-could be a real money saver in the near future.

Re: Another Source for AI Magazines

Notice though that they only come in 3 and 7 round sizes. See just a little difference from the original makes it your own

Yawn...their site sucks, the 3 & 7 round mags are for the WSM mags, they are the same size as the std AI mags and so the 308 mags hold 5 and 10. These have been around for at least 2 years and likely 3, it's nothing new, this debate has been argued time and time again. Side 1 says "Don't copy" and side 2 says "I suppose Colt is the only maker of 45 mags".

The early ones had quality issues, I hear they are better now, haven't tried one but plan to since AI does not make a WSM mag.

Re: Another Source for AI Magazines

Just SOME info for you guys.

The mags DO work... I have one of the RUGER SCOUT rifles and tried the mag in my Winchester .308 AI bottom metal. It works perfectly.

There is ALSO a polymer version of the mags that are close to $20.00 EACH. And YES... they work as well.

polymer AI style mags for $20? where can we find such and animal?

Re: Another Source for AI Magazines

My dealer was ordering them from one of their suppliers...

There are 2 different ones for the RUGER SCOUT.

1 is metal construction... I believe they were around $45.00.. the other 1 is around $20.00 and is made of polymer but is NOT the mag that comes with the SCOUT. I will try and get one ordered through them tomorrow and report back.

Re: Another Source for AI Magazines

Just checked... They are selling the plastic one for $25.00 and the metal for $45.

The distributor they get them from are OUT... but they are supposed to be getting some soon.

Still.. its a GREAT price... I like the METAL AI mags... but lets face it... they do get a tad expensive for some people.
