Has anyone used both the anschutz single shot match rifles and the Walther kk500 series match rifles? I'm looking at replacing my Walther kkm uit with something newer and more adjustable for nra prone matches. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have several Anschutz and Walther rifles. I have never owned or used a KKM500, I do not like aluminum stocked rifles. When it comes to mechanics all of the German smallbore rifles are virtually equal. If I was going to buy a new match rifle I would lean towards the Feinwerkbau 2800. I have a 2600 and it is one of my favorite rifles. If I was looking for a pure prone rifle I might buy a Vudoo barreled action and put it in a Masterclass prone stock.

Yes, I have first hand experience with both.
Either of the KK500 stocks have more adjustability and, in my opinion, a better grip than the Anschutz stock. The walther cheekpiece offers 2 different profiles though it is somewhat fiddly to adjust.
The ergonomics of the KK500 action are better than any of the Anschutz actions. This is most apparent in prone where I can load without lifting my elbow off the mat but there is also significantly less movement loading in both kneeling and standing.
The sight extension tube arrangement on the Anschutz 54.30 is well made. I do not like the sight extension tubes from Walther, they are held on with grub screws. There are dimples in the barrel so they go back on accurately enough but I think that is a poor attachment method for something that you take off and on frequently.
The walther buttplate has lots of adjustment capability, the Anschutz not much.
They both produce good barrels, I don't think one has an accuracy advantage over the other.
The Anschutz extended scope rail works on the KK500 so switching from irons to scope is not problematic.
That is all I can think of, hope you find this helpful.

How is the vudoo rifle for prone with a sling and iron sights? We switch back and forth between iron sights to scoped rifles every couple of months
All you need to put irons on a Vudoo is a Mo's rear scope base that has the sight base built into it and a front barrel band, or you could have a bloop tube built if you want a longer sight radius. I don't shoot irons anymore so I don't have to worry about that part of it.

I don't have anything to add to this thread but find it interesting. Just curious about what dedicated, single shot target rifles as mentioned above (KK500/54.30) shoot like when fitted with a scope. What are the group sizes like and how do they compare with more everyday guns as far as accuracy? Say compared to a CZ, T1X or to the Anschutz sporters? Thanks.
