I have shot semi autos for soo many years that I find, every once in a while, I am flicking my trigger finger forward looking for the reset.

Does anyone know of a drill that would help me work through this?

Thanks.

Cut the end off of an extension cord, leave bare wires exposed, attach to trigger guard just in front of finger, plug in cord and shoot. ???
Just giving you shit, I have caught myself doing the same thing occasionally in the past.

You may have to consciously press the trigger to fire a shot and hold the trigger back for a few seconds upon firing. You could do some as dry practice and some with live fire practice.

XLR308...hehehe

ShtrRdy....I am doing dry practice and I hold the trigger to the rear until I visualize the bullet hitting the target....maybe just need to do a few thousand more. Hehe.

Yeah, it takes many repetitions to change a hard wired behavior. You just have to keep working at it.

A while ago I was watching some slow motion video of a champion warp speed pistol shooter, ( Max Michel ). Watching at normal speed you think he's just slapping the trigger as fast as he can. But seeing it in slow motion he presses the trigger back and holds it back for a split second until the slide really starts moving back. I think he actually goes off of the sight lifting in recoil. But basically HE IS HOLDING the trigger back on every shot.
