I love my 9's but when I needed to take a quick peak at longer ranges having to try to screw in the 3X lens in the dark while helmet mount just didn't work. That said the pvs-14 slip on adapters wouldn't fit do the notches inside the adapter. In spirt to dremel owners everywhere I removed the notches the adapter slips on easy now and I use the ANVIS lens notches for focus. Now If I needed I can grab the 3X lens and slip on for long range peak. By the way I close the non 3x lens eye so I don't get a weirded out FOV
