Apex rival 4-32x56 looks very interesting, any info on them. I'm in the states and am leary about dropping $2k (ish) without putting an eye on it first. Ty for any info

They sent my shooting partner one to demo and I believe an offer to shoot for them if he wants, he shoots for Athlon at the moment. We took it out in his back yard and compared it to his Cronus. We could only look out to about 300yds but it gave us an idea how it compares.

Glass wise it looked very comparable to the Cronus. Edge to edge clarity was impressive as was the eyebox, very forgiving. The thing that impressed me the most was its depth of view, it’s very good.
Turrets are ok, not real Tactical or loud clicks but not bad, didn’t feel mushy or seem to have backlash.
Parallax would take some getting used too. Some scopes it takes very little rotation of the turret to see your change in parallax some a lot more. The Apex is the latter but still worked just more than I’m used to with my Razors. My first impression it’s a good scope for the price point it’s at and the scopes it’s competing with at that price point( Cronus,NX8 and a few others).
I really liked the reticle as well but that’s just my personal opinion.

Thank you very much for all your time!!!i had a cronus and liked it- now i have a nx8. How is the glass compared to cronus?i do love the rival reticle! Finally, if i was to get one, how is warrantee and thoughts on company being in Canada and I'm in usa? I've never tried to ship anything outside usa. Thanks again for your time!!!

They have proven to be superb for me! I mentioned to you early I own 3 and have been very please.

The glass is nicer than my nxs but I don’t have an nx8.

GHOST firearms training sells them, and they are expanding dealers shortly. They also sell directly to the states. There is a warranty spot in Colorado as well. They are working on expanding to a distribution and inventory in the states where warranty will be handled there as well. The owners are fantastic and you can’t gonwronf

With so many excellent scopes available with a proven track record in the sub $2k price point, why roll the dice?
I understand your point as i can agree to some degree.... but what i want in a scope is not completely available by a single manufacturer. This one's darn close. Only way it would be better is if it was a 3-27x56 or similar and i can't see spending 4k on a scope(s&bender) that isn't twice as good as a 2k scope

The Burris Pro is basically what you want. The XTRIIIi also. But sounds like you actually described the Athlon scope though LOL 1x more on top and a little lower on the bottom which never gets used anyways. I would stick with a known scope versus chasing 2-3x more on the top.

Ty for your ideas.... I'm not really as interested in high end as i am with a 3 power on low end....if my old cronus was a 3-24x56 that would of been fantastic. I know everything is a trade off- so i keep looking;)

I edited as you were quoting but you are only getting an extra .5x lower. Is that worth spending that money on a little known company?

And honestly if you are using that low power the most you should buy a scope that has that low power. Trying to get a super low and high power is going to be a frustrating search which won’t end well. You would probably be better off buying a scope specifically for hunting and use the other for range play.

Oooooh shit...... Looks like we're about to have another optics brand enter the playing field. Get ready for all the purchased and paid for reviews being played off as legit and unbiased. Remember when Arken hit the market? Turned out to be a decent product but the reviews were ridiculous especially the bootube reviews. Makes me laugh and I hope I'm incorrect about this.

Good points guys. Everybody wants the best of everything all in one scope while being cheap too.... time will tell.btw, I'm not going to buy until more come on here with more reports.

Are there any updates for distributors for apex? Where to buy? I had a chance to play with the rival on a 22lr and I was pretty impressed depending what the street price ends up being.
