Suppressors Any harm in using a 223 Can on a 22 LR other than weight?

I know people said 22LR are very dirty and that’s part of the reason not to use them but I have a HTG/BRO Aris SS can and they have a tool to disassemble them for cleaning.

As long as I can keep it clean is there any reason I shouldn’t use this on a Savage 22 Rifle other than weight?

I’m probably still going to get a Sparrow but wondered if I can use it while I wait.

Should work fine. Barrel threading is the only thing. .22 cal and smaller

I do it all the time, quieter than my dedicated .22lr can. My .223 can is a take apart as well though.

Going back I wish I got a titanium can for both this and my 308, but oh well. Thanks for the insight guys, I’ll rock it for the next 5-7 months

Make sure you clean it. .22 will fill it up with lead. I was amazed at how quickly it can start to build up.

This. Both rimfire and centerfire suppressors get pretty dirty. Centerfire suppressors build up with mostly carbon, rimfire is both carbon and lead. Keep it clean and you should be good to go.

Same here. I have two .308 cans that have thousands and thousands of .22 LR rounds through them. I just cleaned one the other day. It took a week and an entire bottle of CLR, but it got pretty clean.

I have this question as well.

I own center fire cans, but was considering buying a Dead Air Mask (I don't own a .22lr can...weird, I know.). However, if there is a take apart .223 can that is as quiet as a .22, I would be willing purchase that.
