I recently purchased another great Marlin 22, and thought I'd do a little bragging and see if anyone else has one of these great little 22s.
I love Marlin rifles, and have had nothing but great luck from them in the 15 or so years that I've owned them. I currently own several 60 & 981 models, and prefer the tube fed action as opposed to the magazine fed action of other offerings. My reasoning is that when I'm in the field I prefer to have 14+ rounds in the tube and not have to worry about fumbling around and possibly losing a small 7 or 10 round detachable mag. Also, the accuracy of these rifles is on par with many pricier brands that shoot the same caliber. I do not hesitate when picking up my Marlin 22s when going squirrel or rabbit hunting. They simply can't be beat for the price or quality.
