Re: any oklahoma shooters?

Hey guys,

I'm in Ardmore and I'm wanting to go shoot tomorrow. I was thinking about driving over to BadLands in Grandfield unless anyone knows a place to shoot atleast out to 500yds. I'm on vacation this week and want to get back in the swing of things since I haven't shot much since last fall. Let me know if anyone is interested in shooting tomorrow or knows of a good place to shoot out to 500yds.
Thanks

Re: any oklahoma shooters?

Made the 90 mile trip over to BadLands today. I had a great time shooting there. I got to shoot both my .308's out to 1000yds. I was the only one there, but still had a good time. I haven't got to shoot that much since January, but I did very well I think. After shooting out to 1000yds, those 600yd steel plates seem very easy to hit. Anyway, if anyone is wanting to shoot out to 1000yds Badlands is a pretty good place to go. It's paper targets at 100, 200, and 300, then steel cutouts at 4,5,6,7,8,9 and 1000yds. You'll need to bring your own paper targets and some tacts or a staple gun. Also you might want to bring a can of white spray paint to give the steel a fresh coat so you can easily see your shots. It has a nice covered area to shoot from.

Re: any oklahoma shooters?

Grove OK (NE OK by Miami) here, I am currently building a spec M40A3 and I have all the required parts (M40 Schneider 610 barrel, Mcmillan A4 stock) and I am looking for a gunsmith that has experience with precision rifles and can thread and chamber the barrel and crown the barrel to spec and inlet and bed the stock and would be great of they were familiar with the M40A3 and usmc specs. I can go as far as tulsa area

Re: any oklahoma shooters?

I'm in Kansas, about 3 miles North of the OK line on US 77. The last 600 yd match of the year at Red Castle, near Tulsa is this Saturday 10/09/10. Good place to shoot a well run match.

Re: any oklahoma shooters?

Re: any oklahoma shooters?

I live in NE Oklahoma in the Grove area on grand lake. I shoot pretty often when not on orders. Marauder- what stick do you use and do you have a range near you? I have a buddy in Lawton and might be there to visit and we could go hit the range up. Just shoot me a PM

Re: any oklahoma shooters?

Hey all,
I live near Chickasha. We have a 800 yard range behind our house, a 1000 yard setup, and a 2000 + yard range further into our property. I have only ranged and burmed up the 2000yd so far..... My TRG22 doesn't quite reach that far

.In the future I'll be calling GA for a custom .338 lap mag build w/ the templar action so that I can utilize the distance I have to work with.

I've been to USSA a couple of times for classes. First rate place. Didn't know they had a precision class. How long of a range is there?

We just started, our range is only 300 meters but we do lots of positional and we have running targets we can do at 100 during a class.

Re: any oklahoma shooters?

Morris, OK signing in. My uncle has 670 acres just south of morris that i shoot at every chance im not at OSU IT in okmulgee. If i ever get good enough, i could set up a 3000 yard range, shooting from the top of one hill to the side of another. currently, we're only set up for a distance up to 1000 yards, but i'm hoping i can bump it up to 1500 over spring break :)
