Any shooters from Las Vegas?

Re: Any shooters from Las Vegas?

it isn't too bad. just have to watch your speed and make sure you stop at the gate to sign in!! otherwise they yell at you(guess how i know) the main range can get a little crowded on the weekends(out to 500 yrds)kurt stone runs the long range shooting match and makes a hekva steel target.

weekdays aren't bad- you don't have to shoot next to the boomers if you want to shoot your 22- lots of room. been a member for a while. fee's keep going up- was 150 last year, but you can get a discount by helping clean up the range. hope that helps. john

Re: Any shooters from Las Vegas?

Thanks John. That's the longest range here in Vegas right? I was bummed at Clark, thought the 1200 yard range was complete, but talked to one of the guys there and they said it will be years (pistol outweighs long range by a grip--it was like popcorn in that section).

I understand there's a tournament this weekend and the gun show...sucks, I have to go to LA, but I get to go to Angeles to at least reach out to 600.

Wish their site had photos of the joint...sup with that?

Vegas or L.A.? If L.A. give AR15barrels a shout over at calguns, he may know how to get a hold of some pics. If Vegas, there must be some shots of the Sin City comp, ask Kurt.
I hear Boulder has a 1000 yd range, as does Kingman. Food for thought. If you really want to stretch your legs, I've got a place near here for 1350 - 2000yds. The 2k are some hornet's nests in a sandstone outcropping.

Re: Any shooters from Las Vegas?

thanks Hypertex, Vegas. I will ask Kurt. Was hoping to keep close to home...Boulder isn't a bad drive though. I'll keep your place in mind when I graduate that distance...that's pretty amazing though.

Gonna miss the match, hope to see pics of it posted.
