Suppressors Any Thoughts on Tactical Solutions Suppressors?

Re: Any Thoughts on Tactical Solutions Suppressors?

Last I heard (could be wrong) that they halted production on all their centerfire cans, and also last time I checked their website they did not have information on them anymore.

Not sure why, but for a company to totally withdraw a product like that cant be a good sign. A shame too because everything else TacSol makes is badass.

Re: Any Thoughts on Tactical Solutions Suppressors?

Wow...so I guess it wasn't much of a "silencer" then. LoL Good to know because the price was pretty attractive. I also noticed that all of their centerfire cans were gone off the website and when trying to find out about them via Google, I couldn't find anything.

Re: Any Thoughts on Tactical Solutions Suppressors?

I have a Tac Sol Karma 7. I have no complaints, price was right, not too heavy, and quiet. I am no expert, but have been around a few suppressors. I could not find reviews either, but I am happy with it.

Their rimfire cans are very good.

It appears they are focusing on their core-competancy of rimfire accessories - which they are second-to-none at.

+1 on the rimfire cans.

Would not recommend the centerfire cans.

Re: Any Thoughts on Tactical Solutions Suppressors?

Funny but I have a different opinion on their rimfire cans. The TacSol rimfire cans are what I'd consider just "okay". Performance is about like an Outback II or AAC Pilot. On short barrel hosts those products are all noticeably louder than something like an Element, Spectre or 22Sparrow.

The TacSol take-apart design has horrible first round pop.

So, while I see the TacSol products as okay, they aren't what I consider "top tier".

For a while I thought their Cascade-Ti was a wonderful solution to the "I need to clean it" problem. When it was first released there were not any really great take-apart designs on the market. At that point a suppressor that you could soak in harsh solvent was a good idea for some consumers. With all the better sound performing and take-apart designs on the market I fail to see why anyone would buy a louder, harder to service product to do what, save a few dollars?

But it is just my opinion and opinions and experiences certainly vary.

Re: Any Thoughts on Tactical Solutions Suppressors?

I have a Karma 7 and a Cascade MC. The Karma is hearing safe on a 26" barreled .308 and a 16" .223. Perfect for what I need. The Cascade is very quiet with subs, either autoloader or boltgun. Most impressive to me is TacSol's CS. I lost track of my cleaning schedule on the rimfire can and gummed it up so bad I couldn't get it apart without destroying it. I sent it back and TacSol replaced the baffle stack for nothing, even though I told them it was my stupidity causing the problem. The AR22 and Paclite uppers I have are damn nice and reliable too. My 2 pennies.

Re: Any Thoughts on Tactical Solutions Suppressors?

I have a Karma 7, Karma 5, and Cascade Ti.

The 7 is quite impressive on my 243's. Compared to a few others (I know one was AAC and the other maybe Gemtech) sound was extremely similar.
On 308's, the 7 finishes last. This was on a AR10T (20") and 26" 700P.

I run the 5 on a 16" AR and haven't run it on the bolt guns yet. It doesn't seem to be near as impressive as the 7 on the .243's. I know this isn't saying much.

The rimfire, seems to be OK, haven't tested it against any others.

Re: Any Thoughts on Tactical Solutions Suppressors?

I bought the Cascade TI and mostly only use it on a Ruger MK III
I bought it cause it was all titanium and matched very well to the all stainless gun. It is a very quiet suppressor on this host and I just dip it when I feel it gets "dirty". I have no fear of dipping it since its ALL titanium.

The range where I shoot rents out a Walter P22 with a Gemtech and I think mine has a more pleasant sound, but maybe i'm bias
