Rifle Scopes Any updates on a NF FFP 5-25?

I'm ready to buy a new scope. I'm on the fence between a PH and S&B. After researching both of them, seems to only be about $200 difference in price of the 2 models I'm looking at. I'm ready to buy one, but I'm still holding out for the possibility of a FFP NF 5-25. Seems like the last info on these was last spring. Figured with SHOT, some info might surface.

Has anyone heard anything? Should I wait or just pick between the PH & S&B?

In the "BEAST" thread someone from NF said the beast is a 5-22 but it didnt sound like it would be ready by shot. I will look at shot show and report back

Well I was reading and Frank said it'd be a 5-25, but that was last spring. If its still going to be a while, I'll just decide between the S&B and PH.

Just get a PH or SB... The "beast" is gonna be a while, and theres no reason to forgo a great scope in the meantime. Say, I've got an SB I'd like to move...

Ya it MIGHT be released at shot...but you gotta then think how many mil customers will be waiting for it. So it could be quite awhile before they trickle out to the civvie market.

Turbo, I'm Mil/Mil on all my rifles now. I'd love to find a deal on one, but I can't do MOA.

Yes, I agree even if it was released at Shot, it'd still be mid to late summer before an average Joe like me would be able to buy one. Also, if they break the $2500 mark, I'd rather just get a S&B.

I too am ready to purchase and was waiting to see if anything was released at Shot. I called NF about two weeks ago and without confirming a date. He did tell me it would not be ready for Shot show. I'm still waiting until after shot show to make my purchase. Who know what will creep into the market?

I think it is something like 20 individual patents for new features.

The glass is reported to be S&B quality. The adjustment system is revolutionary. NF is planning on going toe to toe with others in the same price range...they will not be the only product in that price range.

How revolutionary can you get with a turret?
I know NF has a huge customer following, I'm one of them, but pricing yourself above S&B is somewhat of a gamble, at least long term.

From what I can glean, the scope has a 2-speed transmission. Interesting, I guess.

I'm not interested at that price. Prices for these premium optics are becoming absurd.

I asked the customer service guy at Nightforce and he said it will be no time soon their still in the development stage.
