Precision Rifle Gear Anybody making a bag rider for the ACC Elite?

    Picked up an ACC Elite and got MDT’s aluminum bag rider with it (among other widgets). Problem is, the bag rider angles downward from back to front, and I’m looking for one that has a bottom surface parallel to the bore.

    I could do a lot of internet searching, but thought the Hide might know an outfit who makes what I want. Thanks for any help in advance.

    Made a simple one, just dont want the chassis to hit the ground every time when I go prone.

    Yep, I was pretty annoyed when I bolted it on. I'm sure they'll get there, it's gotta be a little glaring to their product management team when their flagship shooters are running 3D printed parts that compete directly with the MDT official stuff. I get that SKU minimization is important, but angled vs straight bag riders are not a new concept. I do think that the precision shooting community isn't necessarily aligned on which is best though, some people like that the angle provides them more rear bag range; I think tripod rear might make the issue more obvious.

    Yeah, MDT just cheaped out and used the rider from the Premier and though that customers would be...happy? Not notice? Dunno, cause it just seems stupid to me. The Premier bag rider is in CAD....we know it is. This is like 5 minutes of work to modify the existing CAD file to reflect the horizontal bottom of the Elite butt stock.

    Maybe they had a bunch of the Premier bag riders batch made and need to move them? Cause, for the life of me, I don't understand why this isn't already resolved.

    I even reached out to mdt because they all run the same one that Chad from 5x5 makes.. I was told it's a prototype and they don't know if they will release it. I contacted Chad he said he isn't sure if he is gonna make and sell them.. I really like his design though because it doesn't hang over the front very much at all

    ACC Elite bag rider here for sale now.

    CNC machined 6061-T6 Aluminum and Cerakote finish matched to the factory black.


    Flat bottom with full radius edge for ideal tripod rear support engagement. Top surface has grip ridge texture to it (smooth). Does not stick out at all presenting any snagging surfaces. Tapers to match the grip support width. All other edges have a radius and are smooth.


    Attaches with 2 MLOK fasteners (provided) into the MLOK slot on the bottom of the MDT rear stock. 4.9oz weight.


    Tested by a top 10 PRS shooter. Everyone is happy. Get yours now.

    It creates a flat plane across the bottom of the rear stock. No relation to barrel axis, however it is very close to that axis.

    Provides a 6.4" long flat area with a radius edge to engage rear tripod. The bag engagement part is a bonus. These chassis without a bag rider only leave a few inches of area in the rear where you are basically up in your armpit engaging tripod rear support.

    In fact all, of our testing was around tripod rear support. Everyone has a place to engage they feel comfortable and stable and the full 6.4" length gives that room. Also this does not present a snag point like some of the other attempts I have seen at shorter versions.

    The bag engagement is great too, but not much surprising there.

    I appreciate the info! Tripod rear is roughly half of my use case, but rear bag is the other half. One thing I don't want is elevation changes when the rifle travels rearward, which is why it's important to me that the bottom surface of the bag rider be parallel to the bore. As I mention at the top of this thread, the current MDT offering fails to achieve this requirement; it will tend to tip the muzzle downward under recoil. It would be better for me to run no bag rider at all than to have this issue.

    Any reason why no mlok recoil lug?

    I’ve run it in a couple matches now, I do really like it. Very solid, angle is perfect.

    More of them are getting out there in the wild and we're getting great feedback from them in the field. Some highlights are that they are purposefully designed to fit the bottom contour of the ACC Elite, fit flush, add minimal weight, and drive recoil parallel to the bore axis.

    Any chance you could custom make them so there is just like a little nub that protrudes in the front rather than like an inch?
