I’ve had my glock 19 for around 9 years and was thinking I’d go with the 48 to have something more comfortable in the waistband. The 19 has never been vary wrangler friendly. What’s your thoughts on it for those that have been carrying and or pumping out theirs

Bought the wife one a few months ago. I have carried it a few times in a Bianchi 101 owb and it seems light enough with 10 rounds in it. I like the way it shoots, way better handling than my 42 or 43 imo.

I’ve had one since they came out. I kept my 43 and trade slides back and forth so I can run it in 43X configuration. It shoots well and has been as reliable as you expect from a Glock. It’s a perfect size in my opinion, conceals and carries much better than the double stacks.

I love the 48. Living in AZ I’m forced to dress very light in the summer and the 48 conceals better than a 19, and shoots better than a 43, so it’s something I can easily carry all year. I picked up a couple of the S15 mags from Shield Arms, which have run flawlessly. So now I have a reliable, light, slim, more concealable, shootable gun that hold 15+1. I’m happy.

i got the 43x last fall, same as 48 but shorter barrel. love it!! got a tulester aiwb holster (with belt clip, super easy on and off) and half the time i don't know it's there. 10+1 isn't quite the capacity of the 19/23/32 or even 26/27/33 but hopefully enough to get out of dodge if trouble arises.

That’s why the Shield Arms magazines are a game changer for the 43X/48. You get the capacity of the 19 in a smaller package.

I have a few thousand rounds through my 43X and many many miles hiking in rough country with it in a Bravo Concealment IWB holster that I modified and turned to an OWB holster. The pistol has been 100% reliable (with several types of ammo), as accurate as any Glock I have ever owned, carries better than any handgun I have ever carried, and is more comfortable / natural in hand than any pistol I have ever shot. In short I friggin love my 43X, for me it is my favorite pistol to date. The only thing I have done is a sight upgrade, I installed Truglo Tritium Pro Night Sights with the white front. These sights are excellent!

I bought a 48 for my son last year when he was 12. He couldn’t quite handle a 19 but was wanting to start shooting some matches and taking classes with me. He shoots it very well now.
It has also become my “gym shorts gun” and I carry it in a kangaroo pouch/ belly band type rig. It carries very well for that purpose and I shoot it better than I shoot my 43.

I just checked one of my wholesalers, the only Glock they have left in stock is the G44. I looked at 9mm pistols in general there are still some left (FN, Walther, Zev, etc). It’s getting pretty crazy.

I’m now running a 48 as my EDC. Back when I first started carrying, I had a full stainless Gov’t 1911 from Springfield that I had custom built. Great gun, but it was hella heavy. From there, I jumped on the plastic 9mm train with a Springfield XDM 4.5”. It wasn’t really any lighter, haha. But I did jump from 8+1 to 19+1, and carried two spares. Not sure why I felt I needed 58rnds on me, but I was young and had just come back from two years in Detroit, so maybe that’s why... :ROFLMAO:

I carried that thing daily for two years, and took several classes with it. But then I learned the comparably sized Glock 17 weighed almost 8oz less, and found a shop selling LEO trade-in G19s for a song, so I bought one. Couple hundred round later, and I sold the XDM! That G19 was my daily carry for almost a decade, but after trying to carry it AIWB, I realized it digs unto my gut too much.

Enter the G48. Sure, I get five fewer rounds per mag, but the dang thing is amazing. The G19 fits me pretty good (my hand fits the grip, though a 17/45 feels better), but the thinner profile of the 48 is even better, and mine is exceptionally accurate and carries very well.

If I’m going somewhere that I think justifies the added capacity of a 19, I’ll carry one. Literally anywhere else, and the 48 is what comes along anymore. I’m looking into the S15 mags, but want to see some extended use reports before I feel comfortable using them for anything other than range mags.

Glocks had never fit me well, then I felt a 43x with a a talon grip on it. And really liked it. Now have both 43x and 48. Each with some mods that really make them fit me. Really like the 43x for carry and love shooting the 48x.

The shield arms mags are great. I got about 1k rounds on a one of them and no issues

My Shield Arms mags arrived today, look good, made in USA. Will try to get them out tomorrow to test. Love the G48 for overall balance but think the G43X is best for carry due to the shorter length. It doesn’t really matter to me because I kept my G43 and bought a G48, this way I can mix and match upper to lowers.

With the S15 mags I think the G48 is the best carry gun made. It is not as easy to shot fast but it is the perfect carry gun that now holds 16 rounds vs the G19. Thats a big step since I once thought if I could only have one gun EVER it would be a G19
