I found a vendor of 30% and 80% receivers and want to start making myself. Are there any builders here on the hide? I am going to buy a AR-10 lower dipped in multicam as well as a upper and stocks & forearm.I would like to know who you guys feel make the best super match barrels. Next trigger groups and match bolt carrier and bolt.I want to build the best rifle I can or would you say have a good smith build it for me? I wanted to build myself and thought if I used good parts I would get a decent result.I have a nice ACOG but its a daytime model only with doctor site on top for close range. I plan to have my scop dipped as well as 10 p mags. I thought I would use a adjustable gas block I know the build will run me lots of money but anytime you have a custom paint job with scope & mags it costs. So if you can come with a list of good barrels and parts please I was planning on going with a 18 barrel.

Noveske for the barrel or send it off for a Bartlein/Kreiger to be installed to your specific specs.

You can assemble the upper yourself, but sometimes it's just cheaper to have someone do it for you vs. buying the tools to do so if you're only going to do it one time. The lower is simple to assemble and definitely cost effective to do yourself.

Make sure you have a quality barrel and trigger group. The rest can be stock grade.

The ACOG.... How far are you looking to shoot? They're tough and reliable, but they're also low magnification and limited in capabilities. Not the best choice for precision. If you're going to put that much money into the rifle to make it precise, might as well have a scope that matches that level. Just a thought.

I am sort of confused you talk about 80% and 30% and then say your going to buy a lower dipped in multicam...so are you buying acomplete one or are you going to buy and finish one?

People have their own opinions on best but...I would go:

Trigger: Geissele
Handguard: SWS
Stock: Magpul UBR or PRS, some guys stand by the regular A2 for precision as well. Just get a good rearbag.
almost any custom barrel out there will shoot submoa...build it to accomplish your needs...speaking of that what are you planning to do with it?
