Helped a local PD identify a old pos gun and later in the day a LT stopped by and gave one of his coins to me. Been hooked since. Never bought one, traded or helped someone and asked for one.

Got this one last year working a security detail with US Marshals.
HA! I have the same one, and some of the other versions from this and its related "brother" projects
It’s a shame the program is going away, but I left it ~3 years ago and haven’t been keeping up or in touch with many that are left. I did see a FB post about some of the OGs taking their last flight.HA! I have the same one, and some of the other versions from this and its related "brother" projects
It’s funny (but not) how quickly the calls and texts fall off. Even if you try to keep “a foot in the door” or keep up with what’s going on, it’s hard. Once I PCSed and then ETSed, now it’s either crickets or just a bunch of us old guys sitting around reminiscing. It’s a shame the program is going away, but I left it ~3 years ago and haven’t been keeping up or in touch with many that are left. I actually expected guys not to stay in touch before I even left the program. I helped train (I wasn’t an instructor, just helped new guys when they ask for it) a few CCTs, Rangers, SF, etc. guys and then after they get fully qualified they act like they didn’t know ya or you never see them again because of the rotation and locations change. But not all were like that. I still know a few cool guys, but don’t keep in touch. It’s funny (but not) how quickly the calls and texts fall off.
