Anyone ever run a fenderson Barrel. Fun 10-22 build

I am thinking about a crazy 10-22 build. I was looking at the Fenderson heavy barrel with Iron sight and a victory company stock, and a Ruger action with a after market trigger. My question is about the Fenderson Barrels. any good accuracy results. This is going to be a fun plinker. I am not looking for LIja quality, and lija wont put Iron sights on a Barrel. I want something with a Iron sight and threaded barrel.

I assume you mean Feddersen? If so, I would buy with confidence. When looking for a lightweight 10/22 barrel it was between Feddersen and Kidd. The Kidd came out a little lighter so that's what I went with.

As far as accuracy, both have good reviews accuracy wise as well as both companies standing behind their product. Check over at Rimfire Central. They have a number of threads on Feddersen barrels.

I just went with Fedderson for a CZ455. The build is still in process so haven't shot it yet. The barrel looked as good as any I've owned thru my bore scope.
I'm hoping.

How is the shank sized, same as factory or slightly oversized like a Lilja?

I didn't have to do anything to make it fit. A bud just installed a Lilja in his 455 PT with no fitting so they must not be oversized much, if at all.

Lilja's fit is a little tighter and gives better barrel to receiver alignment (barrel doesn't droop so much) than factory-issue. You wouldn't have to do any fitting unless there was a burr in the receiver.

A drop in on a 10/22 imo is 90% effective. A cz 455 not so much. Too much variation in shank diameter and distance from receiver face to bolt face recess. A current lilja drop in has a shank OD of .707" and a shank length of 1.191". It uses a Benz chamber. The new lilja drop ins will be done with shims at my recommendation. This will allow you to set the shank length for ideal headspace. They will use what they call the "lilja 2" chamber. A feddersen barrel uses a Benz chamber with a shank length of 1.187". Haven't measured the shank OD but I can later. The 455 receivers can take a shank OD anywhere from .706-.712" which is .006" of variation right there! On headspace most will take a shank length of 1.193"-1.197" for the ideal headspace. Factory barrels are 1.189" with current lilja drop ins at 1.191". This is still way off but what can ya do when the actions vary like this? I'll tell ya, custom fit! Doesn't cost much more to do it and the results are totally worth it. Of course it takes more than just barrel! Bedding, ignition, trigger etc all need to be up for the task.

Back to the Fedderson barrels. Is there heavy barrel actually heavy. Or is this a sleeved barrel. I am looking for a solid barrel. I do not want a light barrel for this bid.
