I was picking up a couple of guns I had ordered online at a local pawnshop, and while they were doing the FFL transfer I was killing time looking at their gun rack. Like I needed something else after just buying 5 guns for the boys for Xmas...
An oddball caught my eye. Old wood handguard looked remarkably like a commie type AK or PSL, wood buttstock. It was a large caliber semi-auto with external mag- I asked the owner what it was. He told me it was a "Hesse"...I've looked all over online and can't find out much about Hesse Arms. It was a .308- an old gun- decent shape, but definitely old.
Anything "quality" or collectible enough about this make to investigate further, and if so, is there a reference where I could try to identify this gun? He was asking 6 bills for it- but you know pawn shop pricing...
Thanks for any help...
