Yep, is the death toll up to 6 now? And several survivors who got really ill verified that there was bleach and other chemicals in the drinks. One lady they interviewed on the NY Post said her mouth and throat were severely burned by a caustic after just one sip of a Coke. What kind of investigation is being conducted on this right now?

The DR wasn't all that impressive when visiting back in February. Hard pass if it was on my dime.
When I see stuff about people vacationing in places Americans are being killed, my mind immediately goes like...
I agree DR was ok but not my favorite country, the food was lacking. The majority of the locals were friendly, more than could be said for some areas in our own country.

My oldest daughter is there as we speak.

My guess is that a few Americans a year die down there of accidents, alcohol poisoning, bad or risky behavior simply at a level of background noise.
But now families are all screaming on social media and the press is running with it and it looks like a murder conspiracy. Maybe it is. Maybe one or two are... but have to understand the long term numbers to know if there is a there... there.
Same as with those two state senators who recently died. Arkansas and OK. Set the tin foil hats all a Twitter... but one was killed by former aide. One... unknown. And how many former state legislators die every day? Probably some... because with 50 states which lol have a house and senate... that’s. Lot of current and former legislators to die of non-nefarious causes at a steady background rate. So no, I don’t think they were Arkancided because someone ordered documents unsealed the week before and Q was promising a wave of Arkancides or something silly.
I’ll believe DR is something when I see better stats on long term survival from vacations in shitholes.
It’s why I go to safe places... Lille Iceland and Labrador and battlefields with live eod on them...

This would not even be in the news if it were not for the baseball player that got shot.
A cursory glimpse of the people that have died could easily show they were not in the great health the family members keep claiming.
Heart Attacks happen when you mix alcohol and heat/sun with being overweight/out of shape....That is just the way it is.

You're talking about deaths in an entire country over several months. That's literally a couple of hours on a weekend in Chicago, where I'd be less likely to visit. Big Papi had a hit put on him for banging a drug dealer's woman. If it's an intentional murder in the DR, there's always emotions behind it and it's personal.
