Rifle Scopes Anyone got an AI AW with Zeiss 72 mm w. dovetail?

Re: Anyone got an AI AW with Zeiss 72 mm w. dovetail?

I have two of these scopes and I have them mounted in Seekings rings 1.25 high and they work fine.The .92 seekings rings almost worked but the bell hit.To get the max out of adj.you will need a 25 moa rail.

Thanks for your answer, do you have any picture on this mount? I guess that means that you carry the picatinny rail? My ambition is to use original dovetail mounts, Accuracy has a mount, that might be able to give clearance to handle a 72 mm objective, but Graeme wasn't 100% sure

Looks kind of high though?! Mailed iea.de earlier about this, and their answer was to get the AI with picatinny mount and then they can supply custom mounts.. which the gun on the picture above obviously hasnt?!

This is what iea.de said about 72 mm on AI's;

"If you order an AI rifle, take it with a picatinny-rail with inclination depending the cal. and max. shooting distance. We have tactical picatinny-mounting systems for all Hensoldt scopes.

If you use the standard AI mount you have to ask Grame for a specal version for the x72 scope (obj. diam. is 80 mm)."
