Hi I was wondering if anybody has bought this rifle and if so what they thought about it? I really want something that look slike the mark 12 rifle but What is more important is if it shoots? what is the AVG groups you guys are getting at 100 yrds? Thanks for all your help!

What do you want to know? I'm running a DPMS receiver group, BCG and their Mk12 barrel. I have .5 MOA accuracy.
The DMPS Mk12 models are all capable of sub-MOA groups, with .5 MOA actually being very common.

Well thank you for our help sir! My main concern is accuracy, especially with heavier bullets such as 69gn sierra matchkings. If they are shooters I might make the investment!

I have heard good things about the 5.56 mk12 platform as far as accuracy is concerned, but reviewers say that the 7.62 platform is not as accurate.

The accuracy I posted is with Black Hills 77gr SMK.
For $1600, it's a hard package to beat with accuracy like that for a factory rifle.

I have gotten similar results from my 5.56 built around a DPMS Mk 12 barrel.

I would want a 5.56 over the 7.62 so I am starting to get a little more confidence with it. I really like how the platform feels and might do a little more research before I pull the trigger though! Its amazing how little information I am finding on the web about them! usually when Im looking for a new gun there are reviews like crazy but this one must not be as popular? anyways thanks for the help thus far.

Build your own, plenty of good barrels out there for ~300 bucks. Then pick out your own handguards, flash hider, yadda yadda.
PKFirearms has good deals on the sabre 18" spr barrels, Rainier has decent barrels, uppers and lowers (all with their name on them IIRC), Bravocompanyusa has good stuff, white oak armament, so many good places out there for quality 556 parts.
Just food for thought if you're really considering spending 1500 on a 223 AR.

Ya its a little pricey but I'm trying to sell my month old M1A scout squad! So basically I just want to swap (I thought I would love the M1A so much more than I did) so im ready for change. The M1A shoots extremly well I just dont feel very comfortable shooting it? One of those things I guess So I would like to swap i guess. If anyone is interested In a M1A scout squad with black synthetic stock and Promag(copy of arms 18) mount with a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 mounted on it let me know. Either way Im torn now between building or just purchasing the DPMS? Pros vs. Cons?

My SPR is a custom build using DPMS receiver parts and the DPMS Mk12 barrel, which cost me $189 on Midway.com. For 1/2 MOA accuracy, $189 cannot be beat. Seriously.
