Does anyone have any input on this scope. I'm thinking about buying a 22lr trainer rifle and putting one on it to use as a prs trainer. Mostly 25y to 100y range. I haven't used a ffp scope before and was wondering is this is a good scope to start with before I start looking at some of the more expensive scopes (NF S&B kahles Steiner etc...). The Athlon is around 350$ on amazon and that price is about right for my budget. Thanks for any input.

I had goood luck with that scope. Tracked perfectly on a tall target test. Above average glass for the price. Clicks were about average for that price point. Got hits out to 300 yards with my 22 trainer. My only criticism is that it did not have enough internal adjustment to reach out to 300. I had to hold over.

I've had a half dozen of these myself, and friends bought a few used ones from me, then bought more new ones because they liked them so much. Among my group of friends we must have about 20 of them.

Overall they have been very impressive for the money, I won our state FT match 2 years ago and my division last year, if I didn't trust this scope I wouldn't use it.

That being said it's a inexpensive scope so don't expect it to compare with scopes costing 3 times the price as far as quality. Instead appreciate it for what it is and enjoy the fact it has all those nice features like 10Y focus, good glass, great reticle, illume, and not super heavy or excessively long.

If you can abide the reticle and don't want illume the Midas TAC does give that higher quality feel with the best turrets for the price in this world.

If you have a few minutes to read this review I think you'll see that this is an excellent scope priced well below anything comparable. As a long standing supporting vendor here it would be our pleasure to assist you with one. Please give us a call, 516-217-1000, and we can work together on it.

Our July 4th sale runs through the end of business today so today's a great day to get products :)

I have 1 and it is a top scope for it's price class. I did exactly what you want to do, I had it on a .22 and now it's on my FX air rifle. I like the reticle for holds and as previously stated, it's not too long or heavy.
