Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the new Leupold mk4hd 1-4.5? Seems to be very limited info and reviews on this model.

I'm thinking about one of these myself. No reviews anywhere on them.
I imagine they will be getting to the shills first if anything, so that's a no go for me until I see someone with an honest review.

I'm going to also say that unless the 1x is like the razor with it's almost disappearing ocular, it may not be worth it accept for the lighter weight maybe.
The 1x FOV is 118' on the Leupy, and the FOV on the razor is 115' so that looks promising.

I am not a shill, and no experience yet. From a commercial standpoint, I think this series will be a winner, and the quality will be just fine. I would not expect the true 1x that you experience with a Razor or an ATACR or the S&B Dual CC. I expect that will be the weak spot, but the overall scope should perform on a par with the NXS and PST Gen2, but this is guess work, so I will take my leave.

I'd like to think that maybe the Leupold would have better glass for that price, and would have better clarity on 4.5x then the PST at 6x for that price.
If the difference is only marginal then not worth it at all. So what if the Leupy has a bit less CA or fuzziness on the edges. I never heard anyone say they missed a target because their 1-4 or 1-6 had CA or a bit edge distortion.
I guess that would be a testament to how decent the PST G2 1-6's are if a $999 Leupy is only just as good or marginally better.
Of course we're not going to know this for sure until someone here, or an honest reviewer has one in hand.
Being 1-4.5x this will be a big contender in Service Rifle match optic choices, since there are few to choose from. I think that's Leupold's intended customer base with this one. I'm interested in it for that reason as there is hardly any type of rifle matches in my area other than Service Rifle/High Power.
